The switches in Homeball Alley are all set in favor of 207th Street. This means northbound and southbound. Reroute all affected trains.

(B) Trains rerouted to 168 St.

(D) Trains rerouted to terminate at Dyckman St. A (D) shuttle runs between 145 St and 205 St.

The current state of the switches won't allow that.

Yes it will - since the switches on the lower level cannot be set toward 207 St by definition, they remain functional as per the problem's conditions.

Due to a reconstruction project, both Manhattan-bound tracks are impassable at Hoyt St (2)(3). Because this is a long-term change, the Brooklyn-bound express track has been reverse-signalled between Atlantic Av and Borough Hall.

Reroute: (2)(3)(4)(5), provide alternative service on other lines

Duration: 5 years

The current state of the switches won't allow that.

You know there's 2 sets of switches in homeball alley...

-The main ones for the 8 Av/Concourse split

-2 diamond crossovers on the lower level south of the station to turn around (B) trains.

You said all switches are set for 207 St, meaning the diamond crossovers on the lower level can still be used to turn around shuttle trains coming from off the Concourse

The whole Fulton Center is closed to add platform screen doors to improve safety before it's opening, along with adding marble tiles to make a more futuristic MTA terminal, with modern tiles to be added. Reroute the (2)(3)(4)(5)(A)(C)(E)(J)(R)(Z) .

Here's another complicated scenario. Have track maps ready.

Due to a power failure at 36th Street on the IND Queens Boulevard Line, the switches are stuck in the positions they were in when the outage occurred This affects all lines, as it is south and north of the station.

Southbound:

Queens Boulevard Express --> 63rd Street --> 6th Avenue Local

Queens Boulevard Express --> 53rd Street --> 8th Avenue Local

Queens Boulevard Local --> 53rd Street --> 8th Avenue Local

Queens Boulevard Local --> 63rd Street --> 6th Avenue Local -> 4th Avenue Local after Bridge

Northbound:

6th Avenue Local --> 63rd Street --> Queens Boulevard Express

8th Avenue Local --> 53rd Street --> Queens Boulevard Express

8th Avenue Local --> 53rd Street --> Queens Boulevard Local

4th Avenue Local before Bridge --> 6th Avenue Local --> 63rd Street --> Queens Boulevard Local

Reroute the (E), (F), (M), and (R).
