Manhattan-bound trains run express on the CI-bound express track from Brighton Beach to Prospect Park and stop on the Manhattan-bound express track at Ocean Parkway. I don't think the signals will allow this as there are no signals set for the train to wrong rail after kings highway and switch at prospect. Let alone you would have to merge both CI and Manhattan bound trains onto a single track for a short section after parkside and before prospect park.
CDTA Posted October 11, 2012 Share #2769 Posted October 11, 2012 (edited) A North bound Train Derails on the switch south of Prospect Park rendering the track useless. It's rush hour. Assuming I understand the scenario correctly.... Northbound trains Via Culver (Relaying using the and CI tail tracks) Southbound trains to CI Select trains turn at Kings Highway Select trains turn at Kings Highway CI-Kings Highway; Astoria-Metrotech (Via Broadway Local) (Any southbound trains still in service on the express track empty out @Dekalb, then deadhead to CI) Via Bridge Any layed up trains are sent to do a single tracked shuttle from Prospect Park to Kings Highway (Any northbound trains still in service on the Brighton Line empty out at the next stop, then deadhead to CI, single tracking) Please expect delays on the at this time. Also, the BM1, BM2, BM3, and BM4, all accept regular Metrocards during this time. The BM1, BM2, BM3, and BM4, will make all stops along it's route, and the BM4 will start running along Ocean Blvd at Quentin Road. NEXT: Due to a horrific accident at 42nd St-PABT just after 5AM, the entire 8th Ave Line is unusable. Also, the terminal can only handle 18TPH.
