Due to a strange blizzard, both branches of the WPR are impassible north of 180th. Same with the (6) Manhattan-bound local between Zegera and Castle Hill Avenue.

 

(6) Downtown trains run express between Pelham Bay Park and Parkchester

 

PM Rush hours only:

(6) Terminates at Westchester Square

<6> Runs local after Hunts Point Ave

(2) Terminates at E180th, with select trains terminating at Freeman St

(4) Does not bypass 138th St

(5) Terminates at 149th St on the (4), with select trains terminating at Freeman St

Haven't done this in a while...

 

Because of construction along 4th Avenue and West End, all switches are unusable between 25th Street and 59th Street, and on the West End line to 62nd Street.

 

Reroute trains.

 

 

(D) runs via the (N) between 36th St and Coney Island

(D) shuttle runs between 62 st and Coney Island (runs express between Bay Pkwy and 62 St northbound)

Due to a switch problem, the 6 Av side of the Manhattan Bridge is set towards Brighton. We want to try and keep one Express and one Local on the Brighton please. 2 Express trains and 1 Local are fine, 2 Locals and one Express are also fine.

(M) Two parts; Forest Hills-57th St, Metropolitan Ave-Broad St (It's tempting to have it loop around via Broadway, but we all know that wouldn't help anybody.)

 

Please expect delays on the (A), (C), and (D) trains.

Continuing from Fresh Pond's Solution, a (D) has been spotted with rollsigns saying far rockaway and it's turning violent (do people have common knowledge to know that it's impossible to go by train to the Rockaways via Broad Channel), and there is a big riot happen since this train was rerouted on the (F) due to a stalled train. The Train is stalled at Delancey -Essex. No trains can pass southbound via Rutgers, reroute away, and this is still going on

(A) operates via the (F) from West 4th Street-Jay Street and operate local from 168th Street-West 4th Street in both directions.

 

(C) operates in Brooklyn ONLY from High Street-Brooklyn Bridge-Euclid Avenue

 

(E) operates normally to 34th Street, stopping on the express track at 42nd and 34th Street, then operates to Canal Street via the uptown express track. Returning to Queens, the (E) operates normal service between Canal Street and Jamaica Center ( (E) trains stop at Spring and 23rd Streets in the uptown direction ONLY, (A) trains will stop at 23rd Street going downtown).

 

Special single track shuttle operates from Fulton Street, Manhattan to High Street, Brooklyn.

 

Please expect considerable delays in service during this period.

Has to specifically do with the way the track switches are set up. The Midtown and Downtown track maps show this.

 

Coming out of Penn Station, there are switches on the downtown express track that would in this scenario allow the (E) to access the uptown express track, allowing the (E) to run wrong-railed to Canal Street and use either track on the uptown platform to terminate since the switches are NORTH of Canal on the uptown side as opposed to SOUTH of Canal as they are on the downtown side.

 

The key to this is Chambers Street having no power. Since that is the case, I would think that it would make it impossible to switch south of Canal, which is why I do it the way I do.

Yes, I'm well aware that the switches do in fact exist, but that doesn't mean that you have to send something down there, especially when there's already uptown (A) trains heading up from before the incident occurred.

 

There are perfectly good and working switches right south of Canal. The problem says that "there will be no power at Chambers Street-WTC" only; nothing about any switches not working.

 

Logic is your friend. Don't defy it just for the sake of defying it.

(C)...Still suspended

So, if I have this right, you can use the Montague tunnel and stops between there and Chambers, but no other subway tunnel into Brooklyn south of Chambers. If that is the case, then here's how I handle it:

 

(A) runs local in Manhattan from 168th Street-West 4th and then via the (F) to Jay Street (normal express in Brooklyn).

 

(C) runs High Street-Brooklyn Bridge to Euclid Avenue ONLY.

 

(E) runs normally as long as the platforms at Chambers Street (normal or the (A) line) can be used to terminate. Otherwise, E runs normally from Jamaica Center to Penn Station (except using the express track at 34th and 42nd Street going downtown) and then going downtown after Penn Station goes to the uptown express track and is wrong-railed between Penn Station and Canal Street, where it terminates, skipping 23rd and Spring Street going downtown and terminating on the uptown tracks at Canal Street. Going uptown, the (E) does make all stops on the local track after Canal Street per normal.

 

Spring Street only has uptown (E) service at this time, 23rd Street has the (A) stopping going downtown and the A and E stopping going uptown (if the (E) can not use Chambers to terminate)..

 

(1) runs 242nd Street, Bronx-Chambers Street

 

(2) runs in two sections:

241st Street, Bronx-Chambers Street, Manhattan (local from 96th Street-Chambers Street)

Borough Hall (4) platform-Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn (skips Hoyt Street, which is closed)

 

(3) runs in two sections:

148th Street-96th Street, Manhattan

Borough Hall (4) platform-New Lots Avenue, Brooklyn (skips Hoyt Street, which is closed)

 

(4) runs Woodlawn-Brooklyn Bridge ONLY

 

(5) runs via the (2) 149th Street, Bronx to 14th Street-7th Avenue, Manhattan, where it terminates.

 

(M) is re-routed to the Nassau Street line.and along with the (J) runs through the Montague Street tunnel to replace (4) and (5) service between Brooklyn Bridge and Atlantic Avenue.

 

(J) in Brooklyn runs to Brighton Beach as an express, replacing the (B) between DeKalb Avenue-Brighton Beach.

(M) runs via 4th Avenue and terminates at the 9th Avenue (D) station.
