Threxx Posted April 22, 2012 Share #527 Posted April 22, 2012 (edited) Due to a huge 3rd rail problem in Brooklyn, no trains can pass over the Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges. ... WHY? Manhattan Bridge trains: & via Bridge. local in Brooklyn. runs Atlantic Avenue-Coney Island. is suspended. trains from Manhattan run via Culver to Church Avenue. Special West End trains run Pacific St-Coney Island. Williamsburg Bridge trains: trains run Hewes St-Jamaica Center. runs Myrtle-Bway to Metropolitan. (Signed as .) trains run 2nd Avenue-Forest Hills. OK? This is also unrealistic & foamy. Sorry to rain on your parade. (36 St-95 St Shuttle.) : 96 Street-CI via B'way Express. : Bay Parkway-Astoria via B'way Local. (Service ends early.) This is very similar to what I wrote for an actual Broadway Line FastTrack in the present day, obviously altered some to factor in the SAS (and assumes FastTrack is Whitehall-57th Street): runs all night via regular route to 47th-50th street, then via the to 63rd-Lexington and replaces the to 96th Street-2nd Avenue runs in two sections: Ditmars Boulevard-57th Street-7th Avenue Whitehall Street-Coney Island is shortened to 300' trains and runs via the from Essex Street-Broad Street, then via Montauge and the to DeKalb Avenue, then via regular route to Coney Island. shuttle is extended to Atlantic-Pacific on the 7th Avenue line have increased headways to accommodate the Broadway line being shut down, with the running all night to New Lots and the running to Utica Avenue ( and run local as usual)).

Wallyhorse Posted April 23, 2012 Share #538 Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) The reason I had the closure starting at 57th was so that Lexington Avenue was accessible for those going to 14th and points further south. With the 60th street stations included, it would then go like this: runs all night via regular route to 47th-50th Streets, then via the to 63rd and replacing the from 63rd-Lexington to 96th Street-2nd Avenue. runs all night to 71st-Continental OR 96th Street-2nd Avenue (same route as after 47th-50th), also replacing the in the latter case. runs in two sections: Ditmars Boulevars-Queensboro Plaza Whitehall Street-Coney Island is shortened to 300' trains and runs via the from Essex-Delancey Streets-Broad Street and then via the Montauge tunnel to DeKalb Avenue and then regular route. shuttle is extended to Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street and run normal service runs all night to New Lots Avenue and run all night to Utica Avenue (express in Brooklyn) is extended to Bowling Green Extra trains operate 74th-Roosevelt Avenue-Times Square. These trains skip 69th Street as necessary. Edited April 23, 2012 by Wallyhorse

Express late nights. : Via 8th Avenue Local, West 4th Street-36 Street, Queens. Local in Queens. : Chambers Street-Metro Avenue. Transfer to at Delancey Street. : Runs all night to 71 Avenue. That could really use a check on the track map: the can't get to the Manhattan Bridge from 8 Av. My solution (in essence, 6 Av is closed): Trains operate in two sections: .........Bedford Park Bl to 34 St/Herald Sq .........71/Continental Av to Brighton Beach, via the in Queens and in Manhattan. Replaces the in Queens. Trains run express between 59 St and Canal St. No trains between West 4 St and 34 St / Herald Sq. Transfer between sections via the A, C, E, or F. Trains run via the in both directions between Roosevelt Av and West 4 St. Trains run to Chambers St. Transfer at Canal St for service for nearby stations. NEXT Due to a track condition, 6 Av can only fit 5 tph per track.

Threxx Posted April 26, 2012 Share #548 Posted April 26, 2012 Yes, that's the same map I looked at. Look at the area around Bway-Lafayette.
Brighton Express Posted April 26, 2012 Share #549 Posted April 26, 2012 That could really use a check on the track map: the can't get to the Manhattan Bridge from 8 Av. I think the meant Columbus Circle chief, not 59 St Brooklyn. Threxx Posted April 26, 2012 Share #550 Posted April 26, 2012 Return trip 's go via the line. Sorry I didn't clarify that; Uptown Express and Local tracks. Now you tell us that... Then my solution would work, considering downtown tracks aren't affected.
