Dannny Posted November 20, 2017 Share #5801 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) What if...... There was a massive power outage at Grand Central 42nd street and the whole station was dark. What I would do. Trains would run on the in Manhattan. Trains would run from Woodlawn, and terminate at 59th street. They would also run local below 125th street to substitute the Trains would run in two sections, 1st section would be from City Hall to 14th street. 2nd section would be from Pelham Bay to 125th street. Train would terminate at Queens Plaza, Passengers could take the into Manhattan. Completely suspended. MJQ (bus depot) could also put 60ft Artics on the M42 to substitute for the lost of the in Manhattan, which would help riders communicate from East side to West side, and vice versa. The can terminate on the middle track while the uses the outer tracks. ...Unless the switches leading to the Williamsburg Bridge haven't been put back in after all the work from this summer, then in that case terminate the at Bowery.

Lawrence St Posted November 28, 2017 Share #5811 Posted November 28, 2017 Ok, a new one: A renovation of Broadway Junction station needs to be done as soon as possible. Above ground, the support columns for the and platforms need to be removed and replaced, as well as the structure above ground. Below ground, the support beams in the tunnel need to be replaced as well. This process will require full time access for 3 months, and affects the and . R68OnBroadway Posted November 28, 2017 Share #5816 Posted November 28, 2017 I would do this: 207th-Utica (trains relay at Ralph Av express tracks). Local in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Service is increased to make up for service. extra rush-hour and midday service to help the . suspended. extra service during rush hours and middays. / Euclid- Far Rockaway via Rockaway Park branch and Hammels Wye. Operates 6-12 TPH. Lefferts service uses shuttle buses. operates in two sections: Canarsie-Atlantic and 8th-Wyckoff. Southern section at 6 TPH, Manhattan section operates normal TPH. Q23 via 108 Posted November 28, 2017 Share #5817 Posted November 28, 2017 Picture this... Lets say a terrorist attack has taken place at Jackson Heights Roosevelt Av at the Peak of AM Rush Hour. A Bomb has exploded and has taken out both train portion and the section. The situation gets worse and the terrorist are lurking in between Queens Plaza and 71-Continental Av. The train elevated structure has become weak from the blast leaving 69 Street and 82 Street in devastation. So with most of Queens in Chaos. There is also train stuck right smack dab in the middle of the Clark street tube going into Manhattan. Which prevents the and trains heading to Manhattan. And at the same time, a person was struck by a train at Borough Hall heading towards manhattan. Stopping and trains from going into Manhattan. And for the finishing touch, A water main broke at the 149 street Grand Concourse Station. The break floods the Entire Station. and trains cannot pass through the station safely in both directions. So how can you save Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx? Lines affected * P.S. No Shuttle buses and no Bus service near the Queens Explosion (Q32,Q33,Q47,Q49,Q53,Q70,ect.) Have fun

Have fun you're crazy but here's how I'd do it rebuild Roosevelt into THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TRANSIT HUB and build the with 4 tracks at this part. Keeping it elevated have the terminate at south ferry from 96 ST and from 3 Av to wakefield terminates at 14 St or suspended from 161 St - Woodlawn with boosted service and run from Nevis or Grand Central - Flatbush and New Lots becomes a shuttle (Dyre Avenue Shuttle) pull that out of the tunnel to livonia and the person can be taken out of the hospital terminates at Queens Plaza and terminates at 21 St remains as 4 Av shuttle or replaced by the with rerouted to SAS Boosted Broadway, 6 Av and Nassau Service runs with delays

Shuttle buses operate between Utica Avenue and Euclid Avenue making all local stops at all times. operates from Broad Street to Myrtle Avenue (Late nights and weekends to/from Metropolitan Avenue, replacing the shuttle) becomes full-time and operates from Alabama Avenue to Jamaica Center (using East New York Yard to turn trains) Single-track shuttle train runs between Myrtle Avenue and Chauncey Street Shuttle buses operate between Myrtle Avenue and Alabama Avenue operates in three sections: 14th Street to Myrtle Avenue Myrtle Avenue to Bushwick Avenue (single-track shuttle) Atlantic Avenue to Rockaway Parkway Shuttle bus operates between Myrtle Avenue and Atlantic Avenue MetroCards are honored on the LIRR between Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue/Atlantic-Barclays.

BayParkwayW Posted November 29, 2017 Share #5821 Posted November 29, 2017 A massive section of tunnel collapses between Bowery and Essex St, and the Essex st station itself loses power, so the platforms are closed. No trains can go through the Nassau line, but the Christie cut is still open. The issue will take months to fix and investigate, as there are also water leaks between Bowery and Broad St. Has major impact on service.
