Ceya Posted April 27, 2012 Share #578 Posted April 27, 2012 Here's one: What if the was shut down for an entire weekend? Every weekend, one weekend end death threat will be at your door. Every weekend, you will be asking the holy one for mercy. I think they should have left the J the way it was prior to 1977. After they tore it down it was a ghost town. I would want to do as much of the 1939 map as possible to get to areas not reached by subway ( Little Neck, Queens Village, Lauerlton, Rochdale College Point, Hunts Pt, Throggs Neck, etc). S/F, CEYA!

Wallyhorse Posted April 29, 2012 Share #590 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) As for the no express on West 4th scenario, as I would do it: local from 59th-Canal Street and are suspended runs in two parts: 205th Street-34th Street via regular route 57th Street and 7th Avenue-Coney Island via Broadway Line to Atlantic-Pacific, then regular route Transfer at 34th Street between the two divisions and run normal service runs all times in Manhattan and is rerouted to 168th Street to replace the after 47-50th and from Columbus Circle (except overnights, when it runs its normal shuttle route). All trains run via the Montauge tunnel and make all stops from Canal Street-DeKalb Avenue to accommodate the running via Broadway express.
