lilbluefoxie Posted October 30, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted October 30, 2011 Cool pics! thanks, however the lighting is very bad at Croton Harman, those canopies and staircases make for a lot of shadows, and then the angle of the sun makes it hard to get those locomotive shots. Truckie Posted October 31, 2011 Share #10 Posted October 31, 2011 Nice to see the Hudson on-time when the Harlem Line is shut down north of NWP. That was NOT the case during the storm. While Hudson Line service never stopped running, service was from from "on time". To get to work on time I left an hour earlier on the train departing Poughkeepsie @ 5:40 pm scheduled to arrive at GCT at 7:21. The train didn't arrive until almost 8:45. The train leaving Poughkeepsie @ 4:40 never made it to GCT as it got stranded between Cortlandt and Croton Harmon. Those passengers ended up making a train to train transfer to my train. Additionally, there was a lot of criticism (rightfully so) how the Hudson Line had "Good Service" during the storm as indicated on the TVMs and departure board @ GCT. Realistically the only good thing about it is it wasn't shut down like parts of the other lines. Although, considering the circumstances, it was better than it could have been.
