Micstromme 20 Posted June 14, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2008 Here was the idea that I (Bill4Philly) originally posted on ttmg.org: The B35 should be extended to the New Lots Avenue Station in East New York. With the extension to ENY, the B35 would terminate at Ashford Street and Livonia Avenue, right next to the B6 bus. The limited service would run between McDonald/Church Avenues and New Lots/Rockaway Avenues, where the B8 currently terminates. All limited service would make local stops to the extension in New Lots. The next Sunset Park-bound limited bus stop would be at the Brookdale Hospital entrance. The extension would also allow for longer limited service hours. The idea would benefit the elderly and the disabled. The B35 extension to the New Lots station would also provide convenience as it would make for transfers between the B6, B15, B20, B60, B83, , and lines, 24 hours a day. Now this is your time to comment. Please express your opinion on this decision/proposal. Thank you for riding with MTA NYC Transit.
m106crosstown 0 Posted June 14, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 14, 2008 I think that would be a good idea. I don't really know that part of the area but it would improve the transfer point and service.
Micstromme 20 Posted June 15, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted June 15, 2008 Did I also mention that it would allow for the B35 and the B6 to meet up, which is significant in thatthe both of them are limited services. Also, the B35 is limited but yet it does not feel like a limited route. That is a good way to make the limited service seem more useful and significant. Maybe next someone will adjust the idles of the B38 limited and figure out how to make that route more convenient to itself as a limited route. Note: Next thread will be from a revisited thread at ttmg.org. Enjoy.
East New York 4,104 Posted June 15, 2008 Share #4 Posted June 15, 2008 Not a bad idea. It could at least go to the New Lots Av station if nothing else. Also, the doesn't go to New Lots, it terminates at Utica Av in Crown Heights.

Micstromme 20 Posted June 15, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted June 15, 2008 My main attraction to the idea is that it is the easiest way for all passengers to get between buses that do not meet up at all, such as the b35 with that of the B6, 20, and 83 buses. The fact that so many people walk along the street to catch the when they can just get a single bus to take them there makes absolutely no sense. As for the and New Lots thing, all four of the Eastern Parkway lines stop there at different times. The White Plains lines only stop there during the top of rush hours and early peak hours (they meet up with the B35 in Nostrand, though).
Micstromme 20 Posted June 15, 2008 Author Share #8 Posted June 15, 2008 Um.. Correction. The does Terminate at New Lots From 12Midnight to 5:30am! Actually the last fulltime from New Lots Avenue comes to Rockaway Avenue sometime after 6:20A with another special service that leaves the station at 7:15A and the at 7:45A.
