Abba Posted November 6, 2011 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2011 Due to a police investigation at the Bleecker Street Station, uptown(4)and (5)trains are running local from the Brooklyn Brige-City Hall Station to the 14th Street-Union Square Station. Please expect in and train service at this time. It looks like this happened on the express track. So are the people on this very unlucky train still stuck? EDIT: It appears that N/B express service has resumed. However we're the people stuck on that train through that whole incident?

TriboroughBridge Posted November 8, 2011 Share #4 Posted November 8, 2011 the MTA doesnt give a hoot about anybody. First we had people trapped on trains for hours during last years blizzard & now people get stuck on a train in between 2 stations on the express track! Does the MTA even give these people their fares back, or do they tell them to fly a kite?

They tell them to fly kites, why would the give them their fares back?just because they were stuck on a train due to a police investigation? Although the train might have have not been able to move.Maybe another train could have pulled up on the local track aside this train.Or another train could have came on the express track and everyone could have moved from the incident train to this other train.and the train could have wrong railed back to Brooklyn Bridge. Is it really so difficult to do that? GojiMet86 Posted November 8, 2011 Share #7 Posted November 8, 2011 It's not a good idea to have the passengers walk on tracks, if they were to switch trains. Wrong-railing is not a good situation because there is already traffic behind the train.
R188 7857 Posted November 8, 2011 Share #8 Posted November 8, 2011 I think this was because someone got ran over by a train in the express track. I heard it on the news.

They wouldn't walk on tracks.A train would pull up and connect the last car of the incident train with the first car of the rescue train. And there might be train traffic. But if the wait is an hour or more I say all the trains wrong rail somehow.Or at least connect them all and one wrong-rails.Again only an Hour plus wait. INDman Posted November 9, 2011 Share #13 Posted November 9, 2011 A homeless person crossing the tracks got nailed... It only took his foot (which wasn't found) and the T/O of the train that found him had to chase him down.
