This is a roster compiled by Ray The TransitMan, with some additions made by me. This is only a look at what we would do if we were in planning ops, and these were the buses we had to use. This is NOT what the roster will likely be, however, it may resemble some of what we have here. This also has MTAB and NYCT merged, which will NOT happen by 2013.

Thanks! The reason way we did that because I was thinking along the lines of LaGuardia with the TMC RTS-06 #8000s that ran into 2009. Besides, there's no shortage...LMAO!!!

Yonkers is closed? Why?

 

 

Yes. By 2013, I've been told that Yonkers will be closed...for good! Could that change? Well, that's two years from now so anything is possible.

 

Also, 126th St will be closed for rehab (hence Mother Clara Hale being opened in the Manhattan Division).

Foaming? I was when looking at that roster! :cool:

 

The idea of MTS RTSs @ Flatbush... man oh man!

 

Also, most of the old C40LFs would still be service, since IMO 800 - 989 are the GOAT LF bus, I think that would be awesome lol.

 

And ZFs VIIs @ JG, is pretty cool as well. I would love to ride them while they climb that hill on the B35 east of 5th Ave... those buses climb hills like its nothing!

Some 1999 Orion V's, and 1998 & '99 RTS'. That's not a bad thing at all.

Nice Roster! Except... Yukon needs more than 50 express buses... unless you forgot to add the Prevosts.

 

I had to add in quite a few actually. It's pretty much done now.

That would be interesting. But what would you change?

This roster is merged, so all the ops would go to Eastchester and Kingsbridge.

just a few questions/comments:

Bx9, KB to WF, is this necessary? i understand it ends near there but KB is in the middle of the route, allowing for easier reliefs and short turns. kb/wf split maybe?

 

Bx41, so the 9 gets kicked out the depot its perfect out of but the one route that goes nowhere near the depot stays. If GH is going 100% artic wouldn't it make more since to send the 41 there?

 

Bx55: 1.9 mile deadhead KB to Fordham, 2.2 WF to Fordham, 3.6 miles from GH. Why the GH/WF split?

 

Bxm6/Qm21: is it efficient to run only one express route from a depot? The Bxm4 could go to WF (if the Woodlawn local routes are there why not?) and X63/64/68 to BP (110/112 to JAM, Q30/31 back to QV as you have the 17 out of CS).

Well, basically I chose the Bx9 because it's closer to West Farms and also with the express routes from Yonkers entering Kingsbridge, I had to make some room there. Although, splitting the route would work too.

 

Yeah, the Bx41 does not go no where near the depot BUT I didn't want to flood Gun Hill so I left that route there.

 

Well, the Bx55 was a fun one for me. I chose West Farms because maybe a few trips off the Bx15 during the evening. As for Gun Hill, a few trips off the Bx39 in the morning. Just a thought.

 

As for the express routes, the BxM4 is easier to get to Woodlawn via the Major Deegan so I put it at Kingsbridge. If would not make sense to move the X63, X64 and especially the X68 to Baisley Park because of the following:

 

1. The depot is suppose to close once the NEW Jamaica Depot opens, which the current Jamaica Depot will close in 2014. Plus, Baisley can only hold about 120 buses. Queens Village has 40 express buses for three routes and Baisley has about 96 buses. Do the math.

2. From Queens Village, it's easier for the X64 and X68. I'm not sure about the X63 and the travel path for the deadhead (I think it's the Cross Island Pkwy onto the Laurelton Pkwy). If that's the case, then the X64 would fly down the C.I.P. to Linden Blvd and the X68 would head up towards Floral Park.

 

With the Q110 and Q112 to the current Jamaica Depot, again, it's suppose to close around 2014 and relocate SOUTH like Springfield Gardens. So the Q110 would not work. Plus, given the way Casey Stengel has the Q31...the last trips end in Bayside so the deadhead is quicker.

 

 

Again, these are just suggestions and ideas. IF this were to go down exactly like we have it...then I'd be buy lotto tickets right now.
