Hiya, all.

My name is Cedric Collins, a bus fan from Houston, Texas. Like many here, I'm huge fan of mass transit, and of course Houston is one of those large cities trying to improve the quality of mass transit---especially its light rail system (known as METRORail)---by expanding to other areas where people want it, of course.

 

We've had buses (ALL 100% accessible to the handicap) but we now have rail----which is in its 4th year of service. We only have just one like but if METRO gets their way, METRORail can go to other places here in Harris County.

 

Unlike what critics say about METRO, I think the TA will improve in everyway possible and I wish the folks there the best of luck for the future of transit in Houston.

 

Thanks for letting me be a part of this community and I hope to give you updates about new buses that come our way.

Welcome to NYCTF! You guys definitely have a cool transit system down there. I was just in Houston April 13-15. I caught a ride on a few of your D40LF's from my hotel in the Galeria. It was a really nice area, but after 9pm there was nothing to do over there! I'm sure if I knew someone down there it could have been different, but it was my 1st time going to Texas. It felt wierd being in a "RED STATE." LOL... j/k

Yeah---but I just wished we had a more variety of bus models---not just what we already have. I hope you enjoyed your stay here. Red state---:P LOL!!! That was a good one. Anyhoo, I hope those have any better luck with capturing pics of the Orion VII NG HEV for NYCT.

 

I forgot to mention that I mess with paper models in my spare time (which I have a lot of since I'm not attending school for the summer (just fall and spring) and I really hope those (including yourself) have better luck getting pics of that bus so I can update the paper model that I already have of the bus.
