FamousNYLover Posted November 16, 2011 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2011 When I was on (M34) +Select Bus Service+, one passenger ask B/O if this Subway Transfer Slip Coupon that says, "GOOD FOR RIDE ON NEW YORK CITY SUBWAY, BUS, GREEN BUS LINE, JAMAICA BUS LINE, TRIBOROUGH COACH, QUEENS SURFACE CORPORATION, COMMAND BUS LINE AND LONG ISLAND BUS." I sent email about this transfer slip to but they MISUNDERSTOOD. Does anyone B/Os who did SBS run encounter this slip? Is this count as valid receipt like MNRR or LIRR Uniticket? Noflexdont Posted November 16, 2011 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2011 You bring up a good point. you should board the bus on the front tell the driver that the pay before you board fare box doesn't except the general transfer. Since i never work the SBS i cant tell you what to do. This should not be a problem due to Senors and disable having similar means of getting on the bus with paper fare payment. I think the will issue you a transfers that would be good on that bus for 2 hours. That transfer will be your proof of payment due to it having the time issued and what bus it was issue from. Once again I'm not 100% sure. If any Operators that work the SBS can and anything to the question i would like to know. MTA usually not good with getting it policies out to it workers. brokecrazy Posted November 23, 2011 Share #3 Posted November 23, 2011 Those tickets are only supposed to be used to continue a trip during a G.O. to a specified bus/subway connection. Senior /disabled return trip tickets are to be shown to inspectors in place of a reciept.
FamousNYLover Posted November 23, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted November 23, 2011 I not talking about G.O. transfer slip. That's only closest thing I find.
Bill from Maspeth Posted November 23, 2011 Share #5 Posted November 23, 2011 Leave the bus operator out of this. Like the M15 SBS and the Bx12 SBS he has nothing to do with fares. Let the fare inspector deal with it.
4P3607 Posted November 28, 2011 Share #6 Posted November 28, 2011 They should have kept that transfer slip for a collectors item! It must be from 2005 if it still has all the old companies on it.
