Eric B Posted November 25, 2011 Share #12 Posted November 25, 2011 Long Island? Are they dumping older stuff on what will become Veolia, or is this Atlantic Diesel, or whatever the disposal lot is? (And if they are sending older stuff to Veolia, does that mean they are going to bring the NG's 17-1800's out there in, or are those owned by the county?) SevenEleven Posted November 25, 2011 Share #15 Posted November 25, 2011 There's a bus shortage at JG hence the RTS being xferred over.

I think they (1760-1839) are actually being leased to the county, unless Nassau came up with $30 Million. And I really don't think they did! Eric B Posted November 26, 2011 Share #17 Posted November 26, 2011 This thread isn't about Veolia/Long Island. It's about TA RTS' being at the Jackie Gleason Depot.I know that, but was just wondering why Orions would be heading to "Long Island". There's a bus shortage at JG hence the RTS being xferred over. But it seems this shortage is from buses there being sent elsewhere. So does that mean those CNG's are scrap or something?

Many of them are not ready for inspection, so they are being sent to NYC for maintenance. In the process, MTA sent CNG's to Nassau so they can continue to make service while their buses are being prepared for inspection. All the TA/BC Orion V CNG buses will all be scrapped soon, as the new buses are currently being delivered.

Novabus 5000 Posted November 27, 2011 Share #20 Posted November 27, 2011 As per the TTMG Roster, the RTSs are no longer at JG. None. All gone. Happy posting
Grand Concourse Posted November 29, 2011 Share #21 Posted November 29, 2011 For such a short time, I kinda doubt that those would've been listed unless they did a recent update of the roster.
