the buses are.. 5191 9234 9397 and 9409

Be on the lookout

Also what are your thoughts on this?

Long Island? Are they dumping older stuff on what will become Veolia, or is this Atlantic Diesel, or whatever the disposal lot is?

(And if they are sending older stuff to Veolia, does that mean they are going to bring the NG's 17-1800's out there in, or are those owned by the county?)

This thread isn't about Veolia/Long Island. It's about TA RTS' being at the Jackie Gleason Depot.

Buses 1700-1759 are county owned. Buses 1760-1839 were MTA owned but sold to the county.

I know that, but was just wondering why Orions would be heading to "Long Island".

There's a bus shortage at JG hence the RTS being xferred over.
But it seems this shortage is from buses there being sent elsewhere. So does that mean those CNG's are scrap or something?

LI's Orion V CNG's have to be inspected by the DOT by December 31st. Many of them are not ready for inspection, so they are being sent to NYC for maintenance. In the process, MTA sent CNG's to Nassau so they can continue to make service while their buses are being prepared for inspection.

All the TA/BC Orion V CNG buses will all be scrapped soon, as the new buses are currently being delivered.
