7LineFan Posted June 18, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2008 Can anyone tell me how to read them? You know, the signs with the blue on the left and the red on the right? Here's an example of what I'm talking about from Bustalk.info. Sign's in the upper right of the picture. And also, did the 1959-1962 Fishbowls have side destination signs? If so, then where? '89 Liberty MCI Posted June 18, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2008 Blue on left = via (main street served), Red on right = destination For example Bx1-Grand Concourse-138 St

'89 Liberty MCI Posted June 20, 2008 Share #4 Posted June 20, 2008 I see the side sign in the photograph you linked. It's close to the rear door.
Novabus 5000 Posted June 20, 2008 Share #5 Posted June 20, 2008 That fishbowl was not treated properly!
7LineFan Posted June 20, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted June 20, 2008 I see the side sign in the photograph you linked. It's close to the rear door. The ones with the roof ads had them there, and on both sides too. But why near the rear door? That's the center of the bus. It would make more sense to have them where they are today, above the first window (maybe that's why they're there on today's buses?).
