Burrstone Posted August 31, 2012 Share #151 Posted August 31, 2012 if these were test buses aren't they already done up to MTA spec's? How do they differ from Centro spec'd buses?
DaimlerBuses Posted March 31, 2014 Share #152 Posted March 31, 2014 Bumping this to share some info users may be interested in. As noted there were 4 pilot MTA Orion VII CNGs built and 2 of them were sold to Syracuse, as noted by RailBus63. The other two are currently in operation at the University of Vermont, along with one of Orion's former hybrid demonstrator buses. The ones in Vermont retained most of their MTA spec package, save for being decal in Vermont's paint scheme.
MTA Bus Posted May 8, 2014 Share #153 Posted May 8, 2014 I believe that NICE was offered them, but they didn't take them.

I rode Centro #1271 recently - it has the MTA interior including 2 x 1 seating in the front section (Centro's own spec'd 1200's have 2 x 2 seating up front). alexweb8 Posted March 1, 2015 Share #156 Posted March 1, 2015 Here is a bad photo I took of 1271, but it gives you somewhat of an idea of the interior. http://instagram.com/p/yAzMmRH4T-/?modal=true
