gregorygrice Posted December 29, 2011 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2011 The New Canaan Branch was the only one of MNRR's lines that I have not rode, for various reasons; It's only 4 stops and is very short. I told myself and others before that I would not ride that branch unless a M8 set was put on. Well I happen to be hanging around GCT yesterday (12/28/11) while waiting for my friend to make a trip up to New Haven, when I saw the 7:24 New Canaan Semi posted up for track 104 at GCT. When down there and what do you know, it was M8s. I rode them for the trip up and then for the return trip down, thus completing my trip on everything MNRR has to offer on the East Side. Not too many people have photos and videos of the M8s on this branch so I'm one of the lucky few. Enjoy the photos and 2 videos. I have more videos to upload but will wait till I place them together. *Videos *Photos *All Photos are Copyright Protected*

gregorygrice Posted December 29, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted December 29, 2011 I love your pics and videos. M8's are a rare find. Thanks Dan! They aren't so rareon the mainline now, because there are 6 sets out now (68 cars in total) But on the New Canaan it is rare indeed.
Dan05979 Posted December 29, 2011 Share #4 Posted December 29, 2011 One day in the spring I'll take a ride from 42 to New Canaan, just to ride these because its rare to me I never take commuter rail.
