I know yo have to take a bus to Kings Plaza what do you do from there?

I don't know for sure but there might be a special bus that takes you south from Kings Plaza to Floyd Bennett Field. I think you can just walk south from Kings Plaza and you should see it.

As far as I know there is a shuttle bus that you can catch at Kings Plaza.

Its the last stop before Kings Plaza between Ave U and Utica on Flatbush cause thats where I caught it, he was on layover there too.
