lilbluefoxie Posted January 4, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 4, 2012 Will Veolia be using the run number boxes on teh 1800s? or will they be set to something like 0000 or not used. I haven't seen one since NICE started and I havent been around much this week due to the freezin cold weather.

dmouse Posted January 6, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 6, 2012 Run 01? Is that the run at around 1:00 am out of Jamaica? I have no idea lol I took this at 6:04AM. Maybe the first N6 out if Hempstead?
Joel Up Front Posted January 6, 2012 Share #5 Posted January 6, 2012 The runbox systems are all over the place and LIB's were random. I think it was set to the route and what run it was with an NG (2504 = 4th run with an NG on the N25) because I'd see consecutive NGs and the last digit was different. Queens Surface Posted January 6, 2012 Share #6 Posted January 6, 2012 Run 01? Is that the run at around 1:00 am out of Jamaica? No, I think the run setup is Run 6 on the N6...and the 01 stands for the direction, I am not 100% sure on this however. I have no idea lol I took this at 6:04AM. Maybe the first N6 out if Hempstead? No, the N6 runs 24/7 lol
N20 Posted January 7, 2012 Share #7 Posted January 7, 2012 Hi all -- From my days @ MSBA, I can tell you that 0601 run is the first N6 Hawk -- all runs were sequentially coded from their report time after 12:01 a.m. -- the routes back in the day had a code to them like this: 2101 ~ the first straight (non-split) run on Northern Blvd, weekday schedule 2120 ~ the first split run on Northern Blvd, weekday schedule (and many splits ran multiple routes, so if it was a 21 suffix, the first route was Northern Blvd, next part could be a different route altogether). 2161 ~ the first straight run on Northern Blvd, Saturday Schedule 1670 ~ the first (and only) split on N16, Saturday schedule (very few splits on Saturday schedule, none on Sunday at least @ Mitchell Field)... 2181 ~ the first straight run on Northern Blvd, Sunday schedule (same true for major holidays). Hope this helps all -- and I hope that NICE works out, still have friends working for MSBA . LI Bus / NICE... miss the job sometimes, but not NY... N20 Posted January 11, 2012 Share #9 Posted January 11, 2012 Not as of yet. I might have to drop a line I guess... been a long time. I get the feeling that some were looking at this as a good time to retire, but I will have to see who's left. Thanks, though --
