metsfan 2 Posted June 21, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 21, 2008 So, i am pissed that (NJT) does not have an all day link between TTC and west trenton (R7 and R3 for septa respectively). Why in the heck would (NJT) so severely limit between-station mobility? They need to fix this ASAP! - Andy
553 Bridgeton 572 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2008 The Capital Connection part of NJ Transit sucks to tell you the truth. To be honest for those 600 routes that run in the capital can get better service if they wanted it. However, since most of those routes run through the slum and they know those people want do nothing about it. So as long as it runs through the slum and the people dont say anything...expect it to stay like that. And there not even due to get the new NABIs...... I've been to those areas with my mom on home visits (sat in the car) a long time ago on days where both parents were working & my grandparents were out of town & i had maybe a doctor appointment that made me miss school... I didn't feel unsafe, but at the same time i could feel how some might see service to those areas being a waste. Those people need easy access to jobs, schools, and any other thing that people with a car take for granted. It is a real shame. They should put light rail through that area if the bus isn't going to run all day. Makes NO sense not to link 2 SEPTA rail terminals that are so close and allow connections to (NJT) rail and amtrak and RiverLINE. - Andy

But the people will have the speak up that ride those routes that run through there. If they never speak up NJT will do whatever they want. Those routes will never see an MCI. Untill then expect it to stay the same. Look at the Wayne Routes, the 190 for example. They added service @ Rutherford Rail Station that starts service there just because they needed more; the 190 already runs 10-20mins during the day.
