trainfan22 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #26 Posted June 25, 2008 Thank you. the Orion VII CNG was there, but they parked it in the parking lot not far from the Liberty Lines MCI Classic. I wished they had more buses like TMC RTS-06 New York City Bus or Bus, one or two more Artics, New York Bus Service MCI Classic, Flxible and East New York Depot NovaBus. The reason why the flexable wasn't there is because an MTA higher up was there. And was working for the TA when those buses were falling apart in the 80s. And this higher up HATES the flexables because of all the drama they casued for the MTA in the 80s. Thats the reason why the brung two RTSs from the museum fleet. If the higer up liked the flexables then one of those RTSs would have been left behind. And they would have brung 236. This is what i heard from a worker at the rodeo..... From this dude's POV the flexbles are evil and he doesn't want to see them glorafied in the museum fleet. This is what i heard from a worker. And there wasn't enough room and 1001 was out for repairs.
'89 Liberty MCI Posted June 25, 2008 Share #27 Posted June 25, 2008 A bus op I know told me that the bus op's union for Spring Creek and JFK (I guess Rockaway too) is different from the one for all the other MTA Bus depots along with the Transit depots, and the SC/JFK/Rockaway union protests against the roadeo, so neither 4904 nor 10001 went out.
