I saw a R-32(I believe) train when I was watching the 1977 disco classic movie with John Travolta! Was transit using these models in the 70's?

I'm serious..:eek: I really didn't know that.I was a baby..Ha Ha I'm headed to RTO-T/O and I'm kinda new to the model types. I've seen all these trains and I'm just checking out the history on the old trains and reading up on the new ones from all the posts.R32's are one of my favorites!Thanks for making me feel like an a**..J/k B)

I believe it was an R38 on the West End ( in Saturday Night Fever...

On the train at the beginning yes, those were R38s.

It was designed for 30 years... just goes to show how strong Budd made those cars.
