Both run overnight

Both use RTS' and Orion NGs

Both run in Brooklyn

Both terminate at a major Brooklyn hub (although not the same one)

Both connect with a route that goes to Brooklyn

Both connect with the SIR

Both connect with routes that travel to St George

Both connect with express buses

They both run in a west-east horizontal fashion

Both have short-turns during certain times of the day

Oh, and BOTH serve CUNY colleges at their eastern terminals

- They both have a more than average amt. of elderly riders(hip)

- They both connect to the (F) & the (N)

- They both run out of the same depot

- They both run w/i less than a handful of blocks of an express bus route

- They both connect to a route that terminates at a depot the both of them used to run out of !

 

 

How are the B48 & B64 alike ?

(B48) and (B64)

Both were shortened in 2010

Both see low floor buses and RTS'

Both connect with division B stations

Both had descent ridership prior their alterations

Both are now suffering due to their shortening

- They both used to terminate at central park

- They both used to terminate where you could connect w/ the (1)

- They both connected to the 6th av line

- They both connected with the M1

- Both were discontinued because of the budget cuts in 2010

- Both ran on the Westside of Manhattan

- Both terminated right outside of Central Park

- Both ran along the same street as the B/D trains

- I Don't Think That Either Ran During Late Nights but I'm not 100% sure Neither ran overnight

 

How are the Q69 and the M14A/D (the two lines I ride the most) alike?

Q10A and Q21A

Both are discontinued lol

Both connected with an IND station

Both were operated by Green Line

Both had low ridership

Both had descent alternatives

Both do not travel outside their respective boroughs

Both connect with (E)(F)(M)(N)(Q)(R)

- They both run by apartment bldg's/projects where a decent chunk of their respective usage comes from...

- They both connect to the (F)

- They both terminate near a highway

- They both had discontinued route notations that had a suffix appended to em (Q19a, M14c)

- They're both... slow.

 

 

N4 & N6

- They both terminate at RR stations on the eastern ends of their route

- They're both intercounty routes

- They both end in Jamaica on the western end

- They both run 24/7

- They both get jammed at the very first stop on either ends of their route !

 

BL-20 & BL-60

- They both are intercounty routes

- They both run between the bronx & white plains

- They both connect to a subway line that takes you to yankee stadium

- They both have mid-route diversions (cross county, MNRR New Roc, respectively)

- They both connect to the Bx16

 

 

How are the Bx1 & the Bx40 alike?

- Both connect to the M10 & the M104 - two routes that's had their southern portions truncated

- Both connect to an interborough route

- They're both crosstown routes

- Their WB portions doesn't connect w/ the Lex

- They both used to connect to routes that are now discontinued (M27, M30, respectively)

- Their EB portions connect to a local subway route

- They both run ~equidistant to central park south

 

 

Q27 & Q85

 

- They both connect to a route that takes you to an airport

- They both connect to an LIRR station

- They both terminate at major bus hubs

- At their western terminals, they both connect to a NICE route that ends at a RR station

- They both connect to the only SE Queens route that doesn't run 7 days/week

 

 

How are the Q4 & the Q6 alike ?
