Pablo M 201 35 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2008 Ok, so its not really a "Rutgers" bus. Its actually an Academy Setra, #1717. As you can on the bus, it was used for the Rutgers Faculty Traveling Seminar a while back. These pictures are actually from about three weeks ago. I was on a bus heading downtown JC, and seen that bus going the other way around Medical Center. I got off immediately the next stop and 1717 went exactly where I thought it was going and that is Old Colony Square for break. Enjoy!

Pablo M 201 35 Posted June 26, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted June 26, 2008 Nice pics!! The (NYCT) should test one of those. Thanks! And yes they should. If they tested the Citaro, hell, test a Setra now. Nice shots, I've always wanted to ride one of those buses. Thanks! Those buses are great, I've been one them once. DOB2RTO 29 Posted June 26, 2008 Share #5 Posted June 26, 2008 Nice pics!! The (NYCT) should test one of those. Thanks! And yes they should. If they tested the Citaro, hell, test a Setra now. Too expensive, and possibly to tall for the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Van-Hool T2145 barely fits through that tunnel........ MCI D4500 roughly $350,000-$400,000. Mercedes about $550,000........ That is why Academy charged $1200 for a day for those buses to be used locally. Alot more for OTR long trips...... It is a nice bus, and i did get to sit in the drivers seat of one, at Giants stadium. I was working for Campus then, and Academy brought in the opposing team with the Setra buses....... nycbusfan 2 Posted June 26, 2008 Share #6 Posted June 26, 2008 Thanks! And yes they should. If they tested the Citaro, hell, test a Setra now. I heard that there is a Setra bus at Orion which could mean that Orion wants to build coaches.
