Harry Posted June 26, 2008 #1 Posted June 26, 2008 The 2008 map shows the Sea Beach entering the Stillwell Avenue station from the north side like it should instead of the old way giving the impression that it enters from the southeast side like the Culver and Brighton. Is this something new for 2008? I never noticed this on the 2007 map.
SubwayGuy Posted June 26, 2008 #2 Posted June 26, 2008 Must be. I don't remember it being that way either.
Harry Posted June 26, 2008 Author #3 Posted June 26, 2008 Must be. I don't remember it being that way either. It must be new for 2008. It looks a lot better now and of course correct.
Pablo M 201 Posted June 26, 2008 #4 Posted June 26, 2008 Yeah, it is fairly recent, I think they first did that late 2007 IIRC. If not, definately early 2008 because I see that in the map I have now from this year.
MattTrain Posted June 27, 2008 #5 Posted June 27, 2008 It must be new for 2008. It looks a lot better now and of course correct. Harry, the map is not to scale and not all geographic layouts are correct. I wish they were but they aren't. Good point there, though.

Of course it's obvious they're not geographically correct. I'm talking about the general direction that the Sea Beach maps into Stillwell. I just found my 2007 subway map and it is the same as 2008. I never noticed this.
Brighton Local Posted June 27, 2008 #7 Posted June 27, 2008 Actually, they started doing that back in 2006.
Harry Posted June 27, 2008 Author #8 Posted June 27, 2008 Actually, they started doing that back in 2006. I don't have a 2006 map.
R32 3348 Posted June 27, 2008 #10 Posted June 27, 2008 Yeah, I noticed that a while ago. It seems better subconsciously for some reason though.
