My answer may be stupid, but I think it was photoshopped.

 

This should be the Times Sq-42nd St station, but the picture was changed because I see the shadow of the people and there are lot more poles at the Sheepshead Bay station. Plus, the poles do look like the Times Sq station.

 

You might be on the (N) local track while across is the (Q) express.

This was the idea I was trying to create.. But yes, "late" (Q) train that bypassed Avenue U and Neck Road. It got in front of the train ahead only to be held at Ocean Parkway to wind up behind it.
