aemoreira81 Posted February 27, 2012 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2012 3580 is also painted like this, and of course, 6742 was the first (except that 6742 has its doors painted). Shot near home.

Jdog14 Posted February 27, 2012 Share #6 Posted February 27, 2012 seriously , what is the reason for the 07s to be in three different paint jobs.how is it determined whether a bus recieved the black decal or not? This is a paint job. The black windows trim on the bus is decal. The bus maybe was taken when it wasn't finished.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted February 27, 2012 Share #7 Posted February 27, 2012 seriously , what is the reason for the 07s to be in three different paint jobs.how is it determined whether a bus recieved the black decal or not? Well the wants to paint all buses with the black decal. I don't know if they're to be able since most of the buses might retire in 5-6 years. Only A few buses are being painted. LRG Posted February 27, 2012 Share #8 Posted February 27, 2012 The buses are painted white, and then get the black and blue vinyl skins. The MTA hasn't used black paint in a while for what I know.
R188 7857 Posted February 28, 2012 Share #9 Posted February 28, 2012 May NOT be lazyness...It might be the need for the bus to be in service. The bus might have been rushed and maybe the black decal takes a very long time so they just let it out like this incase of a bus shortage.
