Man found dead on Greyhound bus in Kamloops, B.C.

Recommended Posts

man was found dead on a Greyhound bus shortly after it arrived at the depot in Kamloops, B.C., from Calgary on Wednesday afternoon.

Cleaning staff made the grisly discovery around 4:30 p.m. PT, said Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Bob Jones.

"The bus company cleaning personnel arrived and they noticed that the male passenger sitting in the back of the bus hadn't disembarked, " said Jones.

"When they tried to rouse him, they found that he wasn't conscious and called police as well as [emergency health services]."

Police say the man, who was in his early 30s, was carrying a variety of prescription medicines and had told some of the other 25 travellers that he was not feeling well when the bus left Calgary.

Police are treating the case as a suspicious death, until autopsy results are received, but say there weren't any obvious signs of foul play.

The man's name has not yet been released, but police say he is not from Kamloops.
