SirJokaPlaya Posted March 22, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2012 Multiple buses that service Newark Penn Station have minor changes to accommodate people transferring to other buses, NWK Light Rail (or City Subway for all the old school people), and/or NJT/Amtrak Trains. New Route Added: NJT (not red and tan no more) 10 Bayonne to Jersey City operated via Academy 22 Hillside Note 1: 83 Hackensack - Jersey City 83W (Westside Ave Service): Trips that normally start or terminate at North Bergen Westside Avenue have changed. AM 83W trips will start at Journal Square, go through the entire route as normal for the Westside Ave trip. Now, they must turn right on 83rd Street, L on Tonnelle, and continue to Hackensack. PM 83W trips will have the routes starting in Hackensack, doing the normal 83 trip until they reach 83nd and Tonnelle. B/O must turn right on 83, head to Westside Ave, and continue the trip operating on Westside Avenue, and head to Journal Square. Note 2: 307 is now active. 308 & 318 are not active yet. Note 3: There is a 158M now, for trips that head into Myrtle Ave and Hudson Terrance Note 4: Apparently, some of the 300, 400, and 500 lines that go to Philadelphia will now have the Walter Reed bus stop in front of the center, not inside. Majority of the schedules says: "To improve passenger flow, connecting buses to Philadelphia will no longer operate via Gate #8 inside the Walter Rand Transportation Center. All Philadelphia-bound service will stop on Broadway in front of the Transportation Center." Note 5: "NJ TRANSIT, in partnership with Livingston Mall, has developed a single bus stop location for all local routes serving Livingston Mall (Nos. 70, 73, 872, 873, And C44). The new bus stop location opened in mid-January 2012. The stop location is adjacent to the perimeter road on the South Orange Avenue side of the property."
