Good luck with that, The private Passenger rail road industry isn't that big as it was since 1800 to 1900s, it will get bankrupt and get bought by Amtrak eventually. but then again it is 2012 and a lot of people are taking trains more so hope for the best.

Well it's not half way through 2012 yet and 2014 is long ways off. This just got announced so we will see where things go from there.

Update everyone. I found this while looking around. Apparently the equipment they will use is EMD F59PHI locomotives and Ex-ATSF and Amtrak Hi-level cars.

They have used engines available out there. Those Hi-Levels are also used as well and are former ATSF and Amtrak cars.

No one that has F59PHI has any for sale. There is on the other hand few ex GO F59PH's for sale but thats a different carbody.

Of course all of this is still not 100 percent set in stone yet. I did hear that the FECI is trying to get a foreign car maker to build the new railcars. Don't know how that is going along. As for the motive power well let's see what locomotive builder around here comes up with a high speed passenger diesel.
