Charleston 0 Posted July 4, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2008 Well, we are counting down but how many sets of R68/A cars are now on the B train? Also, how many R40S are now in service?
Brighton Local 703 Posted July 4, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2008 Last night I was told the following in reguards to The Train's fleet: 6 sets of R68/R68A 10-12 ( 10 Car Train) Sets of Slants LEFT in the system and all running. This is upsetting

Pablo M 201 35 Posted July 4, 2008 Share #4 Posted July 4, 2008 And from what I notice, the R68/As tend to be back to back at times, same with the Slants. Just Wednesday I saw about about three R40 Slant ( trains in a row.

Just Wednesday I saw about about three R40 Slant ( trains in a row. Very True! The Hippos come one behind the other. Last Tuesday morning when I arrived back into NY, 3 68's and 1 68A all in a row from Manhattan terminated in Brighton Beach. Think the or some other organization will hold a "Farewell to the Slants" fantrip? They definitley should. They did it for the redbirds..

MattTrain 3,120 Posted July 6, 2008 Share #11 Posted July 6, 2008 The R40 slant cars shouldn't be dumped, they should have their original scheme restored and run as museum trains on the and . They should run on and trains during the holidays. R68A's are great on the though. Some are retired and their fate was left to the ocean
