Unplanned Subway Service Changes

Some trains are stopping along the line from 57 St-7 Av to 96 St and some northbound trains will end at Lexington Av-59 St because someone needs medical help at Queensboro Plaza.

 

Expect delays on and trains.

Northbound trains are stopping along the line from Nevins St to 149 St-Grand Concourse because someone needs medical assistance at Wall St.

Service Change

trains have delays and service changes because a person was struck by a train at 59 St-Columbus Circle.

There is no train service in both directions between 145 St and 34 St-Herald Sq.

Northbound trains will end at 34 St-Herald Sq.

Northbound and trains are bypassing 59 St-Columbus Circle in both directions.

Northbound trains are running local from Canal St and 50 St.

Expect delays on and train 

 

From Observance/Subway Time:

trains on 6th Avenue are just being taken out of service or being held at the 6th Avenue stations, with nothing going SB. There is absolutely no service on 6th Avenue. IDK where trains are going (maybe Whitehall, maybe some of the earlier trains made it onto the QBL).

I heard the holiday train got caught in the 12-9

I was there. EMTs and Police were on the center platform and were looking near the middle of the train. They had a stretcher ready. This is the only 12-9 I have been close to. It was and R68 D. I saw many fire engines above the station and many FDNY firefighters exiting it. I then caught an R179 .

Some trains are currently running on the between Broadway-Laffayette and Coney Island to cover gaps in train service.

34 St-bound trains are running express from Mets-Willets Point to 74 St-Broadway because of a stalled work train at 111 St.

For bypassed stations, take a Main St-bound train.

There are multiple 'Delayed' readings on 8th Avenue right now. It all says 'Good Service' though, so expect this to evolve.

No. It was all the way at 125 Street once that situation happened.

That's what the MTA said. However, 3 minutes after the posting, I saw it at Herald Square (while on the ).

There is train shuttle service in both directions between 14 St-Union Sq and 8 Av while we repair a switch at 8 Av. Expect delays on  trains in both directions.

I heard that multiple trains were stuck in southern Brooklyn with no way to get into Manhattan or Queens.

Massive delays in Astoria too. No N/W service in Queens and mta had it as either good service or minor delays.

There are service changes on  trains because of a work train with mechanical problems at Atlantic Av. 

There is no  train service in either direction between Livonia Av and Broadway Junction.   

The last stop on 8 Av bound  trains will be Livonia Av.

Customers are advised to use ,  or  train service at Broadway Junction for service into Manhattan. Customers may also use B60 local bus service making nearby station stops. 

Please see a station agent for a courtesy pass for continuing train or bus service

What is it with Union Street try to beat Atlantic for the biggest delay today?

There is no Franklin Av  train service between Franklin Av and Prospect Park in both directions because of switch problems at Botanic Garden.

As an alternative, consider using the B48 bus service.

UPDATE (Not on MTA website yet):

NB  Trains are running on the  from Coney Island to Canal Street

NB  Trains are running on the  from Coney Island to Jay Street-Metrotech, then via the  to Columbus Circle

 

If this persists, some of the Forest Hills  trains will arrive Forest Hills past 12:30 AM. There are huge gaps on the QBL right now, with the next local not set to arrive at some stations over 30 minutes from now.

WTF is up with the 4th Avenue Line today???

Manhattan-bound , and trains are running with delays because of an unauthorized person on the tracks at Prospect Av. 

 

Judging from the delays, the last  to arrive at Forest Hills might be past 1 AM.
