Sounds like a southbound (F) train that erroneously got sent over to the (C). Probably dumped at Hoyt then reversed at Lafayette Av.

But if that's the case it would still have to reverse at Jay street to go to Coney Island

First time seeing this one

#ServiceAlert: b/d (7) trains are running with delays, slow moving work train between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St. https://t.co/vhZQ2kZ2vb

Actual details, interesting.

This morning my uptown (C) train skipped 135 St. At 145 St I saw the reason why - a (B) train was out of service on the upper level northbound local track. Does anyone know what was up with that OOS (B)?

That might have been the (B) train that turns into an (A) for the PM Rush... they probably was clearing out the train and probably didn't want to delay (C) service.

Due to signal problems between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Flushing-Main St, there is no 7.png or 7_diamond.png express train service between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Flushing-Main St in both directions.

As an alternative, customer are advised to take the 42 St Shuttle, e.pngf.pngm.pngn.pngr.png and w.png trains.

Allow additional travel time.

Well I guess this is going to be more common as we slowly move into CBTC. Fantastic timing during the evening rush also.

What fun. I had to take the Q20A to the (E) at Briarwood to get home instead of the (7) to the (E) or (F).

What causes such signal problems? This is something I have wanted to know for some time.

The new signal system might have been interfering with the old system, which at time would cause a full system shutdown. In this case one of the newer signals (or old ones) had a malfunction which interfered with the rest of the signals on the line, causing a full shutdown.

It was a complete mess. They still had a few (B) Trains on the road even though the website said it was suspended due to gap in service and heavy crowd conditions.
