And why do they have to cross the and over to 2nd Av, affecting the instead of just turning them at W4th (which used to be the terminal in shutdown, before 34th became the long term shutdown terminal). Th is affected by stuff nowhere near where it runs, and it's the first thing mentioned on the news. "(M) service suspended due to train with Mechanical problems at DeKalb". I'm like "Huh"? ("Do they mean the ?") Again, do they plan to do this when the is shutdown, and the is covering the service, and with perhaps more trains? R42N Posted August 23, 2017 Share #4572 Posted August 23, 2017 Despite this being a southbound issue. Right at the time of the issue there was a gap of service northbound from Brooklyn, and service was suspended to my understanding due to the fact that southbound & were using the Montague Tunnel. So, after waiting 15 minutes for an Astoria bound & at 57/7, a signed to Ditmars arrived! Surprisingly, it wasn’t confusing at all, as once we got passed 57/7, it felt like a normal ride from last year.....

I would think at some point pols in Williamsburg would make it clear to the that the can not be suspended for things that happen on other lines well away from it and in a situation like that, they need to find other work-arounds (including if necessary suspending the and having the terminate at Broadway-Lafayette southbound as needed and perhaps having a shuttle between Coney Island and either 36th or Atlantic-Barclays on the Brooklyn end).
