Who was hired to build these walls? Maybe Trump can find us a better contractor since he harps on it all the time.

He does always say he knows the best people for the job, doesn't he?

Ironically, looks like the "renovations" we're part of the cause. Post reported that a section of the prefab wall collapsed onto the roadway causing the derailment.

I see the TWU is blaming the Cuomo/DeBlasio feud for this problem when in reality, it's yet another instance of shoddy workmanship at work here. Those tile sections were installed around six years ago as part of the station renovations. There's no reason why they should be falling down after such a relatively short amount of time since their installation. Rather than directing their ire towards the mayor and governor, TWU should be going after the MTA and their propensity to use the absolute worst contractors for the job, along with their complete lack of responsibility, especially considering this doesn't appear to be the first time one of these tile sections have fallen off the walls.

On a related note, just how many workers does it take clean up this mess? I'm not trying to be snarky, but it looks like there are about 30 workers just standing around while just a few of them actually do something.

They wouldn't dare possibly implicate fellow union employees by going after shoddy workmanship. What's more, maintainers (covered by the TWU) should have been checking for such things as corrosion and loosening -- something clearly not done. Easier for them, and better for their members to scapegoat.

WOW! I want to see some pictures.

Maybe they got off at the wrong exit from the Grand Central?

It seems as if there are always those that are "learning" on the job. There's usually two people working one guy yacking about what to do and not to do, and everyone else watches.

Hmm seems fishy, even if they entered the yard mistakenly how did they wind up so deep inside to wind up on the tracks where they did?

Some conspiracy theorist will say that Obama hired the guy to drive onto the tracks to blow them up but the bomb failed to detonate

He obviously didn't want to ask for directions. Either that or he was taking that "Built Ford Tough" slogan just a bit too far.

MTA Service Status

Service Change   Posted: 12/11/2017 11:39PM

(F) trains are stopping along the  line between 36 St (Qns) and 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr in both directions

There is no (Q) train service between Lexington Av-63 St and 96 St in both directions.

These service changes are because of signal problems at Lexington Av-63 St.

so where can you turn the (Q) train? The only place is Herald Square If In not mistaken.the only other choice is too run it to queens on the (E)

Delays Posted: 12/13/2017  5:23PM Southbound (E) and (F) trains are running with delays because of a rail condition at 36 St (BKLYN).

(Spot the Error)

They probably mean 36th Street Queens. How are the (M) and (R) not affected? Is the condition tame enough to run the (E) and (F) slow through the area?

Service Change  Posted: 12/21/2017  8:09PM

There is no (J) train service between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Broadway Junction in both directions.

Jamaica Center bound (J) trains end at Broadway Junction.

(J) and (M) trains are running with delays in both directions.

These service changes are because of signal problems between Alabama Av and Cleveland St.

As an alternative customers are advised to use the Q24 and Q56 bus service.

Unless it affected both sides then you could have done a wrong railing BUT NOPE

Wonder if it was a loss of signal power. They usually word it that way.

On another note, is this to supplement the (R) , work train movement to Jamaica Yard, or related to the work train incident in the 53rd st Tube?

Anyone know why some (J) trains are terminating at Broadway Jct at Random?! This has been on going all week.

Extra service along the BMT Broadway Line since the (M) is suspended this week from Broadway Jct to Forest Hills. They'll be running extra trains from Chambers Street to Broadway Jct until Friday night, when the (M) goes back into service.
