I am assuming that they have to lay-up the trains that are normally stored in the yard along the express tracks, right?

They just now posted that? The (A) has been running local between 168 and 145 for at least a week now...

Another confusing update from the MTA… so where isn't the (M) running—between Essex Street and Middle Village–Metropolitan Avenue?

The (6) has been suspended between 3 Av/138 St and PBP for more than 1 hour now, due to "debris" at Parkchester. Any details?

Still ongoing and could go for a while, as a shuttle bus has been set up from PBP to Westchester Sq.

EDIT: Restored, almost 2 and a half hours later.

Due to a police investigation at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station,

Downtown (4) trains run local between 14 St-Union Square Station and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station.

Downtown (4) and (5) trains will terminate at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station.

Some Downtown (5)trains will terminate at Grand Central-42 St Station

Uptown (4)trains terminate at Wall Street Station.

Some Downtown (5) trains run on the (2) line between 149 St and Times Square-42 St.

Please expect delays in (4) and (5) train service at this time.

I'm gonna go out a limb and say that power is off and NO trains are stopping between Wall Street and Grand Central.

Due to a train with mechanical problems at the 1 Avenue Station,

8 Avenue bound l.png train service terminate at the Myrtle Avenue- Wyckoff Avenue Station.

This must be really bad, as I can probably count on one hand how many times I've seen the MTA use the language "significant delays" or "severe delays" in an ordinary subway service alert.
