(1) , (4) and  (5) trains have service changes and delays because of NYPD activity at Rector St.

(1) trains are not stopping at Rector St in both directions.

(4) and (5) trains are not stopping at Wall St in both directions.

For service to bypassed stations, please take the (2) , (3) , (R) , or (W) trains.

Interesting.  Why would it affect the (1)(4) and (5) and NOT the (R) or (W) that actually stop in a station between the two IRT stations?

Well that's rather...abrupt.

(W) train service has ended for the night as work trains move into place for weekend planned work.

This is what you get when you let maintenance crews run your railroad.

Equal amounts of give (track access) and take (efficiency and creative service mitigation) are imperative, and so far nonexistent.

There is reduced (7) train service between Queensboro Plaza and 74 St-Broadway while we move work trains into place for this weekends planned work.

Some Queensboro Plaza-bound (7) trains are ending at 74 St-Broadway.

Expect delays in both directions.

Also, this passed, but I believe it needs to be shared:

Service Change

There are service changes and delays in (A) train service because of switch problems at Inwood-207 St.

Some northbound (A) trains will end at 145 St or 168 St.

(A) trains are running with delays in both directions.

As an alternative customers may use (1) train service making nearby station stops.

It's chaotic at 74th right now:

Service Change

There is no (7) train service in either direction after high winds blew debris on the tracks at 82 St-Jackson Heights.

LIRR is accommodating MetroCard holders at no additional charge at Flushing-Main St and 61 St-Woodside.

As an alternative, see a station agent to receive a courtesy pass for continuing train or bus service.

Station-Specific Alternatives:

.    Consider taking the Q32 bus, which runs under the (7) line between Queensboro Plaza and 82 St-Jackson Hts.

.    For service to/from Junction Blvd, consider transferring between the Q32 bus or (R) service at 63 Dr-Rego Park. Here are directions: http://bit.ly/2LEDKMM

.    For service to/from 103 St-Corona Plaza, consider transferring between the Q23 bus and (E) , (F) , or (R) service at 71 Av-Forest Hills. Here are directions: http://bit.ly/2Kfx0j6

.    For service between 111 St, Mets-Willets Point, and Flushing-Main St, consider taking the Q48 bus. Here are directions: http://bit.ly/2vkX1HZ

Expect the following to evolve:

How would debris knock out the entire line, including the Manhattan portion?

Because there was no service that weekend past Queensboro Plaza.

Service Change  Posted: 01/23/2019  9:13AM

Manhattan-bound (L) trains are running approximately every 6 minutes and ending at 14 St-Union Sq because of a water main break at street level. There is no service between 14 St-Union Sq and 8 Av. Expect delays in both directions.

Water has stopped flowing into the tunnel, and our crews are on site to clear the water and debris, and inspect all affected switch and signal equipment. We are working hard to restore full service by the afternoon rush.

For service to 8 Av, consider the M14 bus. For alternate travel options from Brooklyn to Manhattan, consider taking the (J) train, or taking the (G) train northbound from Metropolitan Av to the (E)(M) or (7) trains at Court Sq. Alternatively, consider transferring to the (J) at Broadway Junction.

(N) trains are stopping along the (D) line in both directions between 36 St and Coney Island-Stillwell Av while we remove power for an NYPD investigation at 53 St.

For service to/from 59 St, 53 St, and 45 St, take nearby B63 bus service.

For service to/from (N) line stations, take nearby B1, B3, B4, B6, B9, B63, B64, and B82.

Expect delays in (D)(N)(R) trains.
