I’d be more happy to hear that a coroner was on the scene.

Was that comment really necessary? Yeah, dumb people do dumb things. That does not mean we wish for their deaths here.

Don't instigate. It helps no one here.

Well this is interesting:

Service Change  Posted: 03/17/2019 10:10PM

There is no (N) train service in both directions between Queensboro Plaza and Astoria-Ditmars Blvd because of station renewal.

For service between Queensboro Plaza and Astoria-Ditmars Blvd, consider using the free shuttle buses.

When you ( (MTA) ) says a line reopens at 10PM but then you realize you suck at meeting deadlines.

Service Change  Posted: 03/18/2019 10:34PM

Manhattan-bound (N) and (Q) trains are stopping along the (R) line from  DeKalb Av to Canal St because of a slow moving work train on The Manhattan Bridge.

Expect delays on Manhattan-bound (N) , (Q) and (R) train service.

UPDATE:

IDK what this work train is doing, but here's what's going on right now 40 minutes in based on Subway Time

(N) and (Q) train are still delayed, and being rerouted

A (D) train is running on the (R) from Atlantic Avenue to 57 Street. It will likely run via the (Q) to 96 Street.

Just throw the whole (L) away at this point...

There is no (L) train service between Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy and Broadway Junction in both directions because of a work train with mechanical problems at Atlantic Av. Expect significant delays in (L) train service in both directions.

For service to/from stations between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy, see a station agent to receive a courtesy pass for continuing train or bus service.

(R) trains aren't the most frequent, Why couldn't northbound the (N) and (Q) run express on the local to speed up the trip?

The (N) was running local since the (W) was not running at that time. Additionally, the (R) was starting to turn at Whitehall, and that (D) train also caused some congestion. I believe that (D) was sent up to cover gaps in service on the (R) and (Q) , but why the (D) specifically I don't understand.

Service Change  Posted: 03/21/2019 11:38AM

There are delays and service changes with  and  trains in both directions because of multiple signal failures at terminal stations in Brooklyn.

(2) trains are running regular service with delays.

Southbound (3)  trains are running over the (1)   line and ending at South Ferry.

Southbound (4)  trains are running over the  (2) line from Franklin Av to Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College.

Southbound (5) trains are ending at Bowling Green.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

No that was not the reason. There was a stalled work train at Grand Street and they sent that (D) Train to Whitehall Street. It didn't go to 96th Street.

There was a (D) that ended up at 96. Not sure if in svc or not.

The (7) is a shitshow right now due to smoke in one of the Steinway Tubes. At least LIRR is cross-honoring fares. Unfortunately I’m stuck at Junction Blvd, which is near the Port Washington Branch, but nowhere near an LIRR station (thank you, City and MTA for your recalcitrance and incompetence!).

(7) Service Change

There is no (7) train service between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza while FDNY investigates the source of smoke in the tubes between Manhattan and Queens.

Some Hudson Yards-bound (7) trains are ending at 74 St-Broadway, 61 St-Woodside and Queensboro Plaza.

<7> train service is suspended.

LIRR is accommodating NYCT MetroCard holders at the following stations: Main St, Woodside and Penn Station.

You’d think after 8+ years of closing the tunnels on weekends that things wouldn’t be burning up anymore.

Not to open a can of worms, but an N line extension through LaGuardia and out to Willets Point would REALLY help alleviate the disastrous delays (and crowds)! The 7 line is the only East-West route in queens besides Queens Blvd.

Delays  Posted: 03/22/2019 11:15AM

(E) , (F)(M) and  (R) trains are resuming with extensive delays after NYPD and FDNY removed a disruptive customer from the train at Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Expect delays in , , , ,  and  service in both directions as we get trains back on schedule. Thank you for your patience.

What in the world happend on QBL to cause this much of a disruption?
