Lawrence St Posted June 21, 2019 Share #6281 Posted June 21, 2019 And there goes Canal St and for the 4th time in a row, it's a switch problem now. You'd think they would do an emergency G.O to try and get to the bottom of why Canal St's signal and switch system keeps breaking.

Here's what it would look like: Q65 left 1 minute late, B/O waited for customer running for the bus and missed the light losing an additional 45 seconds. Lost 30 seconds for someone blocking the box while making a left turn onto 95th, lost 15 seconds same intersection due to Private car beyond the stop line couldn't turn onto 95th. Double parked truck on 150th St forcing single lane traffic in both directions, no cars would yield...2 minutes. Taxi/Uber stopped in and blocked the bus lane to load a single passenger, and bus missed the light. 2 minutes. 6.5 Minutes down and we haven't even gotten to the first stop...hmmm Multiple cars attempting to make a left turn in front of the bus blocking the intersection, bus had to inch around multiple pedestrians in vehicles 90 seconds. Multiple customers searching for their metrocards when the bus arrived, slow boarding. Confused customer asking if this was the bus to Jamaica station (LIRR) after getting off the train (???) Multiple taxi/uber blocking the bus stop at Parsons/88th bus stopped in the middle of the street and customers forced to walk back to the bus. About 1 minute extra time. Private driver ahead could not make a right turn in one light cycle because they suck. 1 minute. And on and on and on. Most of the bus problems are other drivers and the customers. Period.
CenSin Posted June 23, 2019 Share #6286 Posted June 23, 2019 I saw that the next was going to be leaving in 10 minutes, so I ran to the platform. There was a train on track #2 leaving via Brighton. To start off; 1. Train broke down at Franklin Av, couldnt recharge. 2. Signal problem at 59th St. 3. Signal problem at Chruch Av + train with mechanical problem. 4. For some reason downtown 4 trains kept stopping and going between Moshulu Pkwy and Bedford Pk so I assume there was signal trouble as well.
