I just looked at the MTA website and found the following gem:

N,Q,R,W trains are delayed as the NYPD tries to catch a subway surfer between Times Square and 57th Street - 7th Avenue.

Jesus Christ...U still got ppl who would dare try that....

Multiple Impacts

(R) train service is disrupted in both directions south of 59 St (BKLYN) because NYPD is searching for a suspect who fled onto the tracks near 86 St.

Southbound (R) trains may end at 59 St (BKLYN) or run via the (N) line to Coney Island-Stillwell Av

We will update you as soon as we learn more

Multiple Impacts

There are service changes and delays in (D)(F) and (M) train service because of a switch malfunction north of W 4 St-Washington Sq.

Southbound (D) trains are running along the (F) line from W 4 St-Washington Sq to Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

Southbound (F) and (M) trains are running express from 34 St-Herald Sq to W 4 St-Washington Sq.

Some northbound (D) trains will end at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr or Broadway-Lafayette St.

See a station agent for a courtesy pass for continuing bus or subway service.

M to Jamaica center??

Well all service east of Myrtle Avenue recently got suspended, so any trains that did head out there will probably be out there for a while. Also, is there are reason why Broadway Junction can't be used to turn around trains headed west?

(J) service is suspended between Myrtle Av and Jamaica Center because of a switch problem at Myrtle Av.

(M) service is suspended between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av.

Jamaica-bound (J) and Metropolitan Av-bound (M) trains are running express from Marcy Av to Myrtle Av.

Expect extensive delays in both directions.

See a station agent to receive a courtesy pass for continuing subway and bus service.

In Williamsburg, consider taking the (G) to the (7) or (A)(C) . From Broadway Junction, consider taking the (A)(C) to Manhattan.

Also consider taking crosstown buses to nearby stations on the (A)(C)

There are extensive delays and service changes on the (J) and (M) lines while our crews work to correct a switch malfunction at Myrtle Av.

There is extremely limited shuttle service on the (M) line in both directions north of Myrtle Av.

For additional service to/from stations north of Myrtle Av, see a station agent for a courtesy pass to continue your trip on nearby bus routes.

See http://bt.mta.info/ for real-time bus status and follow this link for info on nearby bus routes: http://bit.ly/2SI8JaY

For service between Marcy and Myrtle Av, take a (J) train.

Expect additional delays on the (J) line as (M) trains are rerouted to Crescent St and significant delays on the (M) line in Manhattan.

For service to/from the Upper East Side, consider taking (Q) train service. For service along 6 Avenue, consider taking the (D) or (F) lines.

Not on the MTA website:

Jamaica-bound (J) Trains are terminating at Crescent Street. There's no Jamaica-bound service east of Crescent Street.

Actually I think those were (M) trains going to Cresctnt. I believe they changed the displays to (J) as to not confuse people . There probably was service to Parsons. Also they couldn’t turn trains at Broadway Junction cause (L) trains were terminating there.  I was there when there was also an (L)  train switch problem. Was crazy.

You may experience longer wait times for southbound (F) trains in Manhattan after a train had mechanical problems near Briarwood.

Some southbound (A) and (C) trains will be rerouted over the (F) line from W 4 St-Washington Sq to Jay St-MetroTech to provide additional (F) service to Brooklyn

Delays  Posted: 07/29/2019  4:56PM

Northbound (F) trains are proceeding after NYPD responded to a person being disruptive at Church Av.

Northbound (D) and (N) trains are proceeding with residual delays after NYPD investigated reports of someone riding outside the train at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr

That had to be some other problem; otherwise, they wouldn't say there was NO (J) service east of Crescent.

I don’t see why there should have not been service to Parsons. There was no switch problem there that I was aware of .

There are service changes and delays in (7) train service because a person was struck by a train at 5 Av .

The last stop for 34 St-bound (7) trains will be Queensboro Plaza.

For service to Queens, passengers may take an (E) , (F) , (M) , (N) , (R) , or (W) train.

LIRR is cross-honoring MetroCard holders between Penn Station, Queensboro Plaza, Hunters Point Av, Woodside, Mets-Willets Point, and Flushing.

Because of an ongoing switch problem at Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway, Canarsie-bound (L) train service will terminate between Broadway Junction and E 105 St.

Expect extensive delays with (L) train service in both directions.
