Some Reroutes

Southbound (E) and (M) trains are running at slower speeds near Court Sq-23 St while our track crews perform urgent inspection work.

To avoid train congestion along Queens Boulevard, we are running fewer southbound (E) and (M) trains until the work is completed.

Some southbound (E) trains will run on the (F) line from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to W 4 St-Washington Sq.

In addition, some (M) trains will run on the (F) line from 36 St to 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr.

Expect significant delays in (E) , (F) and (M) train service in both directions.

As an alternative for service along 8 Av, consider using (A) or (C) train service.

If you're traveling to Manhattan, consider taking an (R) train.

For service to Queens, consider using (7) train service to 74 St-Broadway.

Trains Rerouted  Posted: 10/04/2019  6:30PM

Brooklyn-bound (A) and (C) trains are running over the (F) line from W 4 St-Washington Sq to Jay St-MetroTech because of a train with mechanical problems at High St. There is no downtown  (A) or (C) service in Lower Manhattan south of W 4 St-Washington Sq. Expect delays in (A), (C), (E), and (F) train service in both directions.

Travel Alternatives:

There is no downtown (C) service at Spring St. See a station agent for a courtesy pass for continuing train or bus service.  Consider taking nearby (R) or (W) lines at Prince St for service to lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Here are directions: http://bit.ly/2GOi75g

There is no downtown  or  service at Canal St on 6 Av. See a station agent for a courtesy pass for continuing train or bus service. Consider taking nearby (J), (N) , (Q) , (R), (W), (Z), or (6) lines at Canal St on Broadway for service downtown. Here are directions: http://bit.ly/2s8iWkn

There is no downtown (A) or (C) service at Chambers St or Fulton St. Consider transferring within the station to alternate lines, such as the (2) and (3) lines, for continuing service downtown and into Brooklyn.

There is no Brooklyn-bound (A) or (C) service at High St. See a station agent for a courtesy pass for continuing train or bus service.  Consider taking the nearby  line at York St. Here are directions: http://bit.ly/2GMFVXe

Stations Skipped  Posted: 10/04/2019  6:24PM

Some northbound (A) trains are bypassing Rockaway Blvd and 88 St while our crews work to correct a signal malfunction near Rockaway Blvd.

The (B), (D), and (M) were also affected by this as well. I’ll explain in a bit.

^^^ Some (F) trains were turned at 2nd Avenue to make way for (A) and (C) trains. I think some (A) and (C) trains went down 6th Avenue, not exactly sure.

----------------------------------------------------

On another note, interesting that they noted that a (Q) train was rerouted (below). Perhaps they're going to start getting more specific about trains being rerouted.

Delays Posted: 10/4/19 8:20 PM

Northbound (B)(Q) trains are proceeding with delays after we resolved an incident involving disruptive people at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr

One (Q) train is running on the (N) line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to Canal St.

At Fulton Street, I was waiting at the south end for an R32 (A) to Far Rockaway to railfan. As I waited, some (F) trains (both directions) started coming into the station rerouted in addition to regular (A) and (C) service due to some track fire at York Street. It eventually showed up, but only going north. Fast forward to 207th Street. Train departed from the station at 6:26 p.m. (?). I forgot the exact time anyway. Train got held for a couple of minutes at 168th and again at 145th. Afterwards, the ride seem regular until near 96th Street. Meanwhile, the (C) train that was at 168th Street beat us all the way down to 59th Street and onwards (it first made a connection with us at 145th and was already leaving 125th just as the first car of my train approached the station; passed it midway between 116th and 110th, and as we got held near 86th or 81st, that (C) then whizzes by and beats us altogether. In the meantime, there was also a (D) ahead of us. The train crawled all the way, stop dead a few times, towards near the switch, where it used to cross over to the northbound express track for service back uptown to 207th Street. But before that, we were held just before that particular switch. Two (B) trains passed us and then another (C).

I went upstairs to take the (1) to 42nd for the (3) home.

Yes there was a few (A) and (C) Trains that got sent via 6th Avenue and a couple of (C) Trains that got turned at World Trade Center.

Even though it wasn't on SubwayTime, one Manhattan Bound (B) Train was reportedly got sent via West End due to that Atlantic Avenue incident.

On another note it took over 2 hours after it was fixed to get everything back to or close to schedule.

I didn't think the Central Park West portion of the (A), (B), (C), and (D) would be affected by the multiple merging delays at 59th Street, 34th Street-Herald Square, and West 4th Street, but it sure did. It was a total mess on all 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue lines during the height of the PM peak.

Once my R32 (A) was close to being fully platformed at 59th Street on the N/B express track, a Bronx-bound (D) pulled in on the local track at the same time. It probably ran express after 59th Street while the R32 (A) waited for uptown-bound departure I guess, due to the downtown-bound crowds needing some time into coming off the train first.

Delays Posted: 10/5/19 7:00 PM

Southbound (F) and (M) trains are proceeding after an earlier NYPD investigation at 57 St.

Expect residual delays as we get trains back on schedule.

--------------------------------------------------------

There's a reading of " (F) Metropolitan Avenue" on the Broadway Line SB, which is likely an (M) . Wonder where that train is going (it disappears after Canal Street)?

There is no (A) service in both directions between Broad Channel and Far Rockaway Mott Av because a customer was struck by a train at Beach 25 St.

Use the Q22 or Q52 as (A)’s will run to 116, the LIRR will accommodate metrocard holders as well at Far Rockaway LIRR station.

Beach 25st seems to be a hotspot for these incidents in the past decade.

Bronx IRT service is a shitshow:

Multiple Impacts

There is service changes and extensive delays in (2)(3)(4)(5) and (6) service because of a switch problem at 149 St-Grand Concourse.

There is extremely limited (2) service between 96 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse:

Some northbound (2) trains are ending at 96 St and turning back southbound.

Some southbound (2) trains are ending at 149 St-Grand Concourse and turning back northbound.

There is no regular northbound (5) service between Manhattan and Brooklyn and limited (5) service in the Bronx.

Northbound (5)trains currently in Manhattan will run on the (4) line to Burnside Av, where they will end.

Northbound (5) trains currently in Brooklyn will run on the (2) line from Nevins St to 149 St-Grand Concourse, where they will resume their regular route.

In addition, some northbound (4) trains are ending at 125 St.

Metro-North Railroad is accommodating MetroCard holders on the following trains:

Hudson Line between Grand Central Terminal and Wakefield

Harlem Line and New Haven Line between Grand Central Terminal and Woodlawn

Part Suspended  Posted: 10/14/2019  1:46PM

There are service changes and delays in (6) train service while we investigate the source of smoke between 125 St and 3 Av-138 St.

(6) trains are not running between 125 St and 3 Av-138 St in both directions.

See a station agent for a courtesy pass for continued train or bus service.

For service to/from 125 St, consider taking nearby Bx15 bus service.

What is with the source of smoke investigations today???

(7) trains are delayed in both directions while FDNY investigates the source of smoke near Grand Central-42 St.

Some Manhattan-bound (7) trains are ending at Hunters Point Av.

Delays

Expect longer waits for a (7) or <7> train during tonight's rush hour because of a network connectivity issue. Trains may operate at slow speeds.

For alternative service between Manhattan and Queens, consider taking an (E)(F)(M)(R) train.

Now the MTA suspended (7) between 34 St and Queensboro Plaza as shown here:
