Times Square-bound (3) trains are delayed.

Huge Lack of Train crews is why.

Exactly. This is an easy way for them to reduce service without hurting too many people.

(C) service is suspended in both directions.

(A) Subway trains that operate between 207 St and Lefferts Blvd will make local stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn to provide alternate service. Listen to train announcements for more info.

Also, consider using (E)  trains for alternate service between 50 St and Spring St.

Thank you for your patience while our crews take precautions against COVID.

(2) trains will only run as a shuttle between E 180 St and Wakefield-241 St in the Bronx while we operate with fewer train crews today.

(5) trains will make all local stops in the Bronx and Brooklyn, and run on the (2) line in Manhattan-between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Nevins St to serve customers along 7th Avenue.

Delays  Posted: 03/26/2020  5:49PM

(2) trains have resumed running their regular route in  Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

The first trains will originate from Wakefield-241 St, so expect southbound-only  service until approximately 6:30 PM.

(5) trains will continue to run along the (2) line between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Nevins St in both directions.

Either the (5) will eventually stop running to Brooklyn later, or the (2) and (5) will essentially be branches of each other throughout the rest of the day.

No reason given for this at the moment:

(E) service between W 4 St-Washington Sq and World Trade Center is temporarily suspended. (E) trains will end at 2 Av on the (F) line.

For service to/from Spring St, Canal St and World Trade Center, take an (A) train.

This may or may not be some type of safety measure.

(3) trains are running only between New Lots Av and 96 St and via the (1) line to/from 137 St-City College while FDNY investigates after an earlier fire at Central Park North (110 St).

There is no (3) service between 96 St and Harlem-148 St.

Trains are running local between Times Sq-42 St and 96 St in both directions, but are skipping 96 St and 86 St in both directions at the request of FDNY.

Expect extensive delays in both directions.

Alternatives:

Some (4) trains will be extended to/from New Lots Av to provide alternate service.

(5) trains are making local stops between  Franklin Av and Nevins St in Brooklyn.

For service on Lenox Av, consider using M7 and M102 service. Also consider using crosstown Bx19 and Bx15 buses to/from (A) , (C) , (D) , (4) , (5) and (6) service.

For 96 St and 86 St, consider traveling to nearby 96 St and 86 St stations on the (C) line. Or, take M104 bus service on Broadway to/from 72 St.

This one got its own thread, because it was arson. Central Park North-110 Street (2)(3) is a crime scene as it was arson on a 2 train, killing the train operator. 86 and 96 St (1) are closed because the suspect also set fires at that station. Even after what's left of that train is moved (as of this post, it has not been moved, as it's a crime scene), there is major structural damage to the station itself. It could be a few weeks before service is restored to the Lenox Avenue Line.

(F) service is suspended in both directions between Briarwood and Jamaica-179 St because someone was struck by a train entering Sutphin Blvd.

Some Jamaica-bound (F) trains are ending at Forest Hills-71 Av or running on the (E) line between Briarwood and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer

See a station to receive a courtesy pass for continuing service.
