Train brakes activated on the Manhattan Bridge, delaying Brooklyn-bound (D) and (Q) trains… so why #$@& are they sending (N) trains through the bypass track, picking up 0 of the passengers stranded at DeKalb Avenue???

Meanwhile, they have speakers on blast: “As an alternative, please take the Coney Island-bound (N).”

Trains Rerouted  Posted:  03/27/2021 06:22 PM

Trains Rerouted

Southbound (D)(Q) trains are delayed and rerouted while our crews investigate why a train's brakes were activated near DeKalb Av

Some southbound (D) and (Q) trains are running on the (C) line from W 4 St-Wash Sq to Jay St-MetroTech and then via the (F) line to Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

The last stop on some southbound (D) and (Q) trains will be 2 Av on the (F) line.

(Q) trains do gotta run via 6th avenue by switching to the (F) track when leaving Lex Ave 63rd St.

You could've said this " (Q) trains are running on the (F) line from Lexington Ave - 63rd Street to Coney Island-Stillwell Av."

Agree to it or not, You can have your own edited opinions.

Well technically, it isn't via the (F) between West 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech because the (F) isn't running through Rutgers due to the rehabilitation so it's running via Cranberry.

Ah, Thanks for correcting me. I didn't think much of the rehabilitation on Rutgers.

So during the reroute, does it mean that (A)(C)(F)(D)(Q) were all running through Cranberry on the same track pair all the way from Fulton street (Manhattan) to Jay street?  That would be a major conga line.

It's not like something like this hasn't happened before.

We've had the (A)(B)(C)(D)(F) at times during the weekday rush hour when 6th Avenue got screwed up. It's definitely happened before.

Multiple Impacts

(B) and (D) trains are delayed and/or rerouted while our crews work to repair a damaged rail at Broadway-Lafayette St

Northbound (B) and (D)  trains are stopping along the (F) line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to Broadway-Lafayette St.

For service to/from bypassed stations, take a southbound (B) or (D)  train.

Northbound (B) and (D)  trains are running on the local track from W 4 St-Wash Sq to 34 St-Herald Sq.

Some southbound (B) trains will end at 2 Av on the (F) line.

Some southbound (F) trains will end at Kings Hwy.

Expect delays in Queens-bound (F) and (M) train service.

Some (N) NB trains were running via West End

(D) trains on West End or 4th Ave either got turned (at Atlantic maybe) or sent up to 96th Street/2nd Avenue.

Most of those (D) Trains got turned at Atlantic Avenue. I know two got sent to 96th Street.

And most of the (B) Trains from 145th Street ended up turning at 2nd Avenue running 6th Avenue local in both directions.

There are major delays and multiple impacts to (C) (D) train service because of a switch malfunction at 59 St-Columbus Circle.

There is no (D) train service between 7 Av and 145 St.

Southbound (C) trains are running on the express track from 125 St to Canal St.

The last stop on some (A) and (C) trains will be 96 St.

Expect delays in (A)(C)(D)(E)(F) service in both directions.

How does the (D) emd at 7th Ave?

They meant to say there is no (D) service at stations from 7 Av to 145 St, meaning the following service ran:

1. Norwood-205 St to 145 St

2. Stillwell Av to 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center, then via the (F) to Lexington Av-63 St, then via the (Q) to 96 St

As fro this reroute, I dont know how it happened. It would have made little sense to not note the reroute of the (A)(C) via 6 Av, or maybe it was a typo and the (A)(C) were ending at 125 St coming from the north, and coming from the south, rerouted via 6 Av to 96 St (which again should have been specified).

Now that you bring this up, I've started to notice how vague the (MTA) is about telling people info about what's happening.

There is no (M) service between Myrtle Av and Middle Village-Metropolitan Av in either direction while we work to remove a fallen tree from the tracks at Middle Village-Metropolitan Av.

Some Metropolitan Av-bound (M) trains will end at Broadway Junction on the (J) line.

Some Metropolitan Av-bound (M) trains will end at 2 Av on the (F) line.

As an alternative, consider using Q38, Q54, Q58, Q67, B13 or B54 bus service.

Multiple Impacts  Posted:  05/07/2021 07:48 PM

T‌here are severe delays and re-routed trains on the (E)(F)(M)(R) lines between Manhattan and Queens while we investigate a loss of third-rail power near Northern Blvd. Consider taking a (7) train, if possible.

Jamaica-bound (E) trains are running on the local track in both directions between Queens Plaza and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Some Jamaica-bound (F) trains are running on the (M) line between 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Some Jamaica-bound (F) trains will end at 96 St on the (Q) line.

Some Jamaica-bound (F) trains are stopping along the (G) line from Bergen St to Court Sq-23 St then via the (E) line to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Some Jamaica-bound (F) trains will end service at 4 Av-9 St, Jay St-MetroTech or Bedford-Nostrand Avs on the (G) line.

Some 71 Av-bound (M) trains will end at Chambers St on the (J) line.

Forest Hills-bound (M) trains are running with delays in both directions while all four lines share the local tracks.

Part Suspended  Posted:  05/07/2021 07:47 PM

(M) train service is temporarily suspended between Manhattan and Queens while we work with Con Edison to restore third-rail power in Queens.

All (M) trains are running only between Delancey St-Essex St and Middle Village-Metropolitan Av. For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn/Ridgewood, take a (6) train to Canal St, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound (J) train.
