Lawrence St Posted March 8, 2021 Share #7252 Posted March 8, 2021 The entire northern B division was disrupted today... Quote Expect longer waits for northbound (A) trains and (C) trains in both directions after our crews repaired smoking third-rail cables near 59 St-Columbus Circle.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted March 22, 2021 Share #7253 Posted March 22, 2021 So this happened earlier today: Either it was a pure coincidence that the broken rail happened, or somehow the impact resulted in a broken rail.

CenSin Posted March 27, 2021 Share #7255 Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) Train brakes activated on the Manhattan Bridge, delaying Brooklyn-bound and trains… so why #$@& are they sending trains through the bypass track, picking up 0 of the passengers stranded at DeKalb Avenue??? Meanwhile, they have speakers on blast: “As an alternative, please take the Coney Island-bound .” Edited March 27, 2021 by CenSin

Trains Rerouted Posted: 03/27/2021 06:22 PMTrains Rerouted Southbound trains are delayed and rerouted while our crews investigate why a train's brakes were activated near DeKalb Av. Some southbound and trains are running on the line from W 4 St-Wash Sq to Jay St-MetroTech and then via the line to Coney Island-Stillwell Av. Agree to it or not, You can have your own edited opinions.

Well technically, it isn't via the between West 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech because the isn't running through Rutgers due to the rehabilitation so it's running via Cranberry.

Ah, Thanks for correcting me. I didn't think much of the rehabilitation on Rutgers.
mrsman Posted March 30, 2021 Share #7261 Posted March 30, 2021 So during the reroute, does it mean that were all running through Cranberry on the same track pair all the way from Fulton street (Manhattan) to Jay street? That would be a major conga line.

Vulturious Posted April 1, 2021 Share #7264 Posted April 1, 2021 Multiple Impacts and trains are delayed and/or rerouted while our crews work to repair a damaged rail at Broadway-Lafayette St. Northbound and trains are stopping along the line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to Broadway-Lafayette St. For service to/from bypassed stations, take a southbound or train. Northbound and trains are running on the local track from W 4 St-Wash Sq to 34 St-Herald Sq. Some southbound trains will end at 2 Av on the line. Some southbound trains will end at Kings Hwy. Expect delays in Queens-bound and train service. Posted: 4/1/21 3:23 PM
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted April 1, 2021 Share #7265 Posted April 1, 2021 ^^^ Some NB trains were running via West End trains on West End or 4th Ave either got turned (at Atlantic maybe) or sent up to 96th Street/2nd Avenue.

Most of those Trains got turned at Atlantic Avenue. I know two got sent to 96th Street. And most of the Trains from 145th Street ended up turning at 2nd Avenue running 6th Avenue local in both directions.

Maxwell179 Posted April 27, 2021 Share #7268 Posted April 27, 2021 There are major delays and multiple impacts to train service because of a switch malfunction at 59 St-Columbus Circle. There is no train service between 7 Av and 145 St. Southbound trains are running on the express track from 125 St to Canal St. The last stop on some and trains will be 96 St. Expect delays in service in both directions. Posted: 4/26/21 11:01 PM As fro this reroute, I dont know how it happened. It would have made little sense to not note the reroute of the via 6 Av, or maybe it was a typo and the were ending at 125 St coming from the north, and coming from the south, rerouted via 6 Av to 96 St (which again should have been specified).

Maxwell179 Posted April 30, 2021 Share #7273 Posted April 30, 2021 There is no service between Myrtle Av and Middle Village-Metropolitan Av in either direction while we work to remove a fallen tree from the tracks at Middle Village-Metropolitan Av. Some Metropolitan Av-bound trains will end at Broadway Junction on the line. Some Metropolitan Av-bound trains will end at 2 Av on the line. As an alternative, consider using Q38, Q54, Q58, Q67, B13 or B54 bus service. Posted: 4/30/21 5:04 PM
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted May 8, 2021 Share #7274 Posted May 8, 2021 (edited) Multiple Impacts Posted: 05/07/2021 07:48 PM There are severe delays and re-routed trains on the lines between Manhattan and Queens while we investigate a loss of third-rail power near Northern Blvd. Consider taking a train, if possible. Jamaica-bound trains are running on the local track in both directions between Queens Plaza and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av. Some Jamaica-bound trains are running on the (M) line between 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av. Some Jamaica-bound trains will end at 96 St on the line. Some Jamaica-bound trains are stopping along the line from Bergen St to Court Sq-23 St then via the line to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av. Some Jamaica-bound trains will end service at 4 Av-9 St, Jay St-MetroTech or Bedford-Nostrand Avs on the line. Some 71 Av-bound (M) trains will end at Chambers St on the line. Forest Hills-bound trains are running with delays in both directions while all four lines share the local tracks. Part Suspended Posted: 05/07/2021 07:47 PM train service is temporarily suspended between Manhattan and Queens while we work with Con Edison to restore third-rail power in Queens. All trains are running only between Delancey St-Essex St and Middle Village-Metropolitan Av. For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn/Ridgewood, take a train to Canal St, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound (J) train.
