The one good(?) thing is that it's somewhat isolated (only affecting Queens Boulevard), so the havoc isn't nearly as bad as when the IRT's ATS was taken down by carelessness.

MTA: We give up on the (W)

 

Suspended

(R)(W) trains are delayed and/or re-routed in both directions while we troubleshoot a malfunctioning switch north of Whitehall St-South Ferry

Uptown (R) trains are running on the (Q) line from DeKalb Av to Canal St. For service to/from bypassed stations, take a southbound train.

Some downtown (R) trains are running on the (Q) line from Canal St to DeKalb Av.

(W) train service has ended early for the evening.

(E)(F)(M)(R) train service is delayed and partially suspended in Queens in both directions because of a loss of power to our signaling system near ‌Forest Hills-71 Av.  

There is no (E) train service between Court Sq-23 St and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer in both directions. The last stop on northbound (E) trains will be Court Sq-23 St, where they'll turn back for southbound service.

There is no (F) train service between 21 St-Queensbridge and Jamaica-179 St in both directions. The last stop on northbound (F) trains will be 21 St-Queensbridge, where they'll turn back for southbound service.

There is no (R) train service between Times Sq-42 St and Forest Hills-71 Av in both directions. The last stop on northbound (R) trains will be Times Sq-42 St, where they'll turn back for southbound service.

Alternatives

LIRR is cross-honoring OMNY and MetroCard users at Penn StationWoodsideForest HillsKew Gardens, and Jamaica.

For service from Manhattan into Queens, take (7)(N)(W) trains. Transfer at ‌42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal‌/‌Times Sq-42 St‌ ((E)(N)(R)(W)), ‌42 St-Bryant Pk‌ (‌(F)(M)(7)), ‌Court Sq-23 St‌ (‌ (E)(7) ) or ‌Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av‌ (‌ (E)(F)(R)(M)(7) ).      

For service to/from ‌Queens Plaza‌, take (7) (N)(W) trains to nearby ‌Queensboro Plaza‌.

For service to ‌36 St‌, take ‌(N) (W) trains to ‌39 Av-Dutch Kills‌.

For service to ‌Steinway St‌ and ‌46 St‌, take (N) (W) trains to ‌36 Av‌ (transfer to Q66 buses on 35th Ave) or ‌Broadway‌ (transfer to Q104 buses on Broadway).

For service to ‌Northern Blvd‌, take (N) (W) trains to ‌36 Av‌ and transfer to Q66 buses on 35th Ave.

For service to ‌65 St‌, take (7) trains to ‌69 St‌.

For service between Grand Av-Newtown and Briarwood, take Q60 buses on Queens Blvd.

And again today. In the same location, no less…

Well, at least this time they got it resolved rather quickly.

Well, if it's not a signal problem, why not a switch problem at 71st Ave...

 

According to Twitter and what is being mentioned in stations:

(E) - Some Manhattan bound trains are running local in Queens.

(M)(R) - Some trains are operating to/from Jamaica 179th Street or Union Turnpike.

 

This is not on the MTA website.

Part Suspended

There is no (B)(Q) service in both directions from DeKalb Av to Brighton Beach/ Coney Island-Stillwell Av while NYPD responds to someone who was struck by a train near Parkside Av.

(Q) trains are running on the (N) line in both directions from DeKalb Av to Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

The last stop on some southbound (B) trains will be 2 Av on the (F) line.

Trains Rerouted

Southbound (A)(C) service is delayed and/or rerouted after a train struck a shopping cart on the tracks at Fulton St.

Northbound (A)(C) service is restored between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Southbound (A)(C) trains are stopping along the (F) line from W 4 St-Wash Sq to Jay St-MetroTech.

The last stop on some southbound (A)(C) trains will be World Trade Center on the (E) line.

Some (A) trains are running on the local track between 59 St-Columbus Circle and W 4 St-Wash Sq.

Some southbound (E) trains are stopping along the (M) line from 5 Av/53 St to W 4 St-Wash Sq to ease congestion along 8 Av.

Some southbound (F) trains are stopping along the (E) line from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to Court Sq-23 St then via the (G) line to Bergen St.

A good question is… why are shopping carts allowed in a subway station or the train? No normal person ever transports something so bulky.

There are delays, reroutes and suspensions on (1)(2) and (3) trains while we work to remove water from the tracks at 79 St.

(1) trains are suspended in both directions between 14 St and 96 St.

(2) trains are running along the (5) line in both directions between Nevins St and 149 St-Grand Concourse.

(3) trains are suspended in both directions between Harlem-148 St and 34 St-Penn Station.

(S) shuttle train service is suspended while we address a signal problem at ‌Prospect Park‌.

For service between Myrtle Av and Delancey St-Essex St, take a (J) train.

We're working to provide the most service we can with the crews we have available.

I think there's only 2 (M) trains in service and the service operating every 20-24 mins as the shuttle

(Q) trains are running along the (D) line in both directions betwee DeKalb Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

Expect delays in (D) and (N) service as they share a track with rerouted trains.
