I think 57 St-7 Av controls the switches at 34 St-Herald Sq too. The Siemens signal equipment (ATS for the IRT and the CBTC) must not hold up well against power surges I reckon... Thales (QBL CBTC) and the legacy equipment seem to have held up... Also: Suspended train service is temporarily suspended while emergency teams respond to someone who was struck by a train at Knickerbocker Av. As an alternative, consider taking the B54 and/or Q58 bus. See nearby buses at bustime.mta.info See a station agent and receive a courtesy pass for continuing service. BM5 via Woodhaven Posted September 1, 2021 Share #7389 Posted September 1, 2021 (edited) This could be the first many service changes tonight: Local to Express trains are delayed and/or rerouted because we are unable to move switches at 59 St-Columbus Circle, trains are running on the local track in both directions between 59 St-Columbus Circle and 145 St. trains are running on the express track in both directions between 145 St and Canal St. Expect longer waits for trains while sharing the tracks with rerouted trains. For service to/from 50 St, take a downtown train. For service to/from Spring St and 23 St, take the train. trains will arrive/depart the platform at 34 St-Penn Station. Select trains run via the Mosholu interlocking south of Mott Avenue (the original platform) to go to Crown Heights Utica to fill in for the train while going around the Clark Street tube and 142 Street Junction. trains are running to Bowling Green as of around 2:20 as a result of flooding on the Joralemon tube; they were previously split at East 180 and 125-Lex in addition to Bowling Green. The train is running full limited service due to flooding on the Grand Concourse and DeKalb tubes. The train is split; all trains out of Ditmars turn at Queensboro Plaza due to flooding on the 60 Street tube. The train is running full limited service as of 12:25 due to flooding through the Greenpoint tube. The Franklin has been reactivated with limited service as of around 2:10 as a result of it's open cut nature. The train is running local in both directions alongside the on the full route as a result of flooding on the Cranberry Street tube. It doesn't look like the Rockaway train is running the full route; it's only running from Broad Channel to Far Rock.
