Tragic. Talk about getting royally f**ked:

Multiple Changes

(E)(F)(M)(R) trains are running with major delays in both directions.

While delays subside, avoid these lines and take 7 trains, LIRR trains, or local buses.

What Happened?

We addressed a network communications problem in Queens.

Changes to Service

(M) trains have resumed service between Delancey St-Essex St and Forest Hills-71 Av in both directions.

Some trains may still end early to avoid congestion:

Some northbound trains will run on the (C) line from 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal to 168 St, the last stop.

The last stop on some northbound (F) trains will be 21 St-Queensbridge.

Some northbound (R) trains are running on the (Q) line from 57 St-7 Av and 96 St, the last stop.

Alternatives

LIRR will accommodate MetroCard holders at no additional charge at Penn Station, Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, and Jamaica.

Consider taking (7) trains and Q60 buses on Queens Blvd.

Part Suspended

(7) trains are not running between Hunters Point Av and 34 St-Hudson Yards while FDNY investigates a report of smoke near Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av.

There were apparently some (M) trains that ran to 168 St which isnt surprising since half the time something screws up on QBL, they send those QBL trains to CPW.

So... um... Yeah... That this... happened... and the crew were never informed.

That is very serious. If it is the former, then there may a defect in the tunnel that needs to be addressed. Might be a speed thing causing the train cars to jerk, or maybe a mechanical issue with the train car in question causing it to sway more than usual causing it to strike a tunnel wall.

Delays

Some (5) trains are running on the (2) line between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Nevins St.

(4)(5)(6) trains are running with delays in both directions.

NYPD is responding to people being disruptive on multiple trains between Grand Central-42 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.

What messed up things are happening on apparently multiple trains along Lexington?

Not a good day to be a Broadway rider. The Broadway line also somewhat got screwed over by a power outage at Queensboro Plaza earlier today. Surprised they hadn't took down the (W) yet as they do quite a lot in major disruptions like these.

From what I'm hearing, a teen got shot, which is plausible given how quick they were to do cross honoring on the Far Rockaway Branch, and how long these types of investigations take.

Part Suspended

No (A) trains between Far Rockaway-Mott Av and Broad Channel in both directions.

What's Happening?

NYPD is conducting an investigation at Far Rockaway-Mott Av.

Travel Alternatives:

As an alternative for service, consider taking Q22, Q52-SBS or Q53-SBS buses.
