And the crazy delays weren't just limited to the R train. Just missed an uptown E at 9:45pm last night at 23rd St, and there was another E train 2 minutes behind it. The Queens track work causes major delays to the E, F and R lines on weekends. Let's see how bad this upcoming weekend is when E, F and R trains all share the local track in both directions btwn Queens Plaza & 71st Ave/Continental Ave-Queens Blvd. I'm sure the Woodhaven Blvd crowds will also be thrilled with the 25-30 minute R train waits all day and all evening long. Someone needs to stand out there with a stopwatch to make a report of just how bad it is.) Again, this weekend will be fine. When the E, F, and R share the local track on the weekends, there's no transfer delays, no loading delays, and the 18tph this puts onto the local is WELL within capacity. Suprised my was running smoothly despite all of this.
