I went first, kid, and my scenario has not been solved yet. 2. Scenario 1-Turn all trains from the north at 125 Street. Turn all express trains from the south at either 42 or 86 Street. Turn all local trains from the south at either 59 or 86 Street. 3. Scenario 2- Just halt all trains, because with a 9.0 we would all be dead. Alex L. Posted February 11, 2010 Share #131 Posted February 11, 2010 This thread has been totally abandoned, so, I'll think of an easy scenario. In the picture below, the black line represents a derailed train. Time: AM rush hour Estimated duration: all day What is there to do? Credit to Peter Dougherty for the track map. Stalled s/b train in the bypass. ( - no change - s/b B'way local, via tunnel, cross back to express north of Pacific or remain on local to 59. - service suspended

Anyway, but why cancel the ? If the 60 Street tube can handle trains, why can't the rest of the Broadway local? Anyone else can ask their problems now, I guess. Anyone else can ask their problems now, I guess. ®'s already get stuck behind trains waiting to enter Whitehall St. With the additional trains, I could see why suspending the would be necessary. It is also essentially replaced by the local .
