Next Service Change is June 24, 2012. Take note of that!

Are you serious. Because if yes, I'm gonna be writing letters for additional stops on the n6x

I remember when I took the 6x, only three people were on the bus, myself one of them. Bus driver stopped at Covert and NHP Rd when at the time Covert wasn't a stop yet

Then it's not express anymore. Just write to bring back the N6 Limited.

They can intertwine it with the Limited like they do on the N22. N6 Express, N6 Limited, N6 Local or something like that.

In that particular order order, anyone that doesn't need the local won't be on it.

That would be too much service on a bus line, their goal isn't customer satisfaction, it's least operating cost. The N22 and all it's variations isn't running any more frequent than it did under the MTA. In some cases is a cut because the N22L skips Mineola and Roosevelt and if Veolia had done research which it didn't, it would know that the majority of riders from Jamaica get off at either Mineola or Roosevelt and the majority going to Hicksville get on at either Mineola or Roosevelt. The N22L is useless and the N22X is a Veolia saying it doesn't want to be embarrased so it makes the N22X. Either way service isn't any better on those lines, they have just given the appearence of more service which in fact isn't.

They can't be major service changes, since the 45-day waiting period between meeting and change day would mean that meetings would need to be held on Thursday (May 10).

Right, I'm not suggesting that they simply add buses, because the expresses have capacity, I'm suggesting that they convert some Expresses to Limiteds, or reshuffle the service. The issue is that the Express bypasses too many stops and the Local can't handle it all.

Keep in mind that the number of services is not the same as the "amount" of service.

For example the Queens Blvd Line can have 60 services, at 30 locals each at one hour headways and 30 expresses each at one hour headways, that doesn't mean there is an INCREASE in service, just that 60 different lines serve the corridor.

On Hempstead Turnpike, instead of running the N6 on 10 min headways(for example), they can run 6 different lines, once an hour, spaced out to every 10 mins. It's still the same level of service.
