Bus Operator Exam 2613 Questions

Recommended Posts

A lot of people  don't make  Day 7 because they don't use the tool they were told. Like making a  Right or Left  L- turn. And making the crazy a$$ Hook turn. and the island on park ave. Also cover  the right. setup mirrors

LET PLAY A GAME. HOW WOULD YOU MAKE THIS TURN AND WHAT TURN IS THIS.

testturn_zps452c004a.jpg

I would press left signal, scan my left side heavily then right, then left again slowing making the left.

That looks like where 3rd Ave & 4 Ave split in Manhattan....

Hey RTS this turn is actually on my 106 route I have to make it all the time.   Everyone going to training study this turn because more than likely your instructor will take your class to perform it.  Hey RTS this is great stuff you should upload the park ave pivot turn they will have to make.

I could have to be there to know what I would do to make the turn because that's not a good picture, & I don't know which way the bus is coming from.

where the blue truck is.

I could take up as must space as I could on my left side b4 I start to make the right turn. I would lock the steering wheel to the right while making the turn.

Yup

HOW ABOUT THIS LEFT TURN.

leftturn_zps11604fed.jpg

U have to go all the way out into the intersection like u going straight b4 u start making the left turn to make sure the back left tire don't touch the curb during the turn.

Ok. Yeah that island shouldn't b that far out into the cross walk because a person in a wheelchair wouldn't be able to cross. I'm guessing it's just a pic to see what a bus driver would do to make the turn.

Stay far left as possible and lock the wheel while turning. The key is to know when to start turning so the back right tire don't touch the curb.

I agree with the approach but because of that divider with cones next to it will cause you to mount the curb so continue the turn minding the hydrant but I can't seem to tell how deep into the turn I can get

YOU might hit the left if your too far in.

Key word is might*. I'll make a clean turn.
