JubaionBx12+SBS Posted May 15, 2012 #2 Posted May 15, 2012 Favorite: Low headways and for me at least reliable. I for some reason also like the fact that it's very crowded Least favorite: and any without NTT's Waiting on the is like waiting for a winning lottery ticket sometimes and the lines without NTT's for some reason just seem very outdated for me. Maybe the MTA needs to brighten the environment in those cars.
Brighton Express Posted May 15, 2012 #4 Posted May 15, 2012 because I was a kid who grew up riding the 6 Av and the on the Brighton Express. When the came, I did not really notice, not until they moved the off of the Brighton Local. I was always fascinated by Diamond Bullets anyways, so we were all good. And since the ran Broadway Express, I could take it to Church for the to go to Cortelyou. When the brought in the , I hated it. When they brought in the R68s, I hated it worse. for stealing the best Broadway Express setup ever. Those were the days when we had the . At Union Square, I would take the to Atlantic Av, the to Church Av, and the to Cortelyou Road. Sometimes if I got lucky, I would snag an R32 on the . I know the is Broadway Local now, but it took away the dignity of Broadway Express.
Astoria Line Posted May 16, 2012 #5 Posted May 16, 2012 I really like the . It's fast and not very crowded. I Hate the with a passion. Its crowded always, no matter what the time is -.- and its very dirty and smells. It feels like an eternity going from Court Sq or Queens Plaza to Jamaica Center.
B to Brighton Posted May 16, 2012 #6 Posted May 16, 2012 I like the ..i always can get a seat there.. The is great for a local service.. I dislike the service, or better, the Rare service and the ...

Guest MTA Bus Posted May 16, 2012 #8 Posted May 16, 2012 Favorite: b/c that was the first subway line I ever saw. Least Favorite: Tie between the & .
CDTA Posted May 16, 2012 #9 Posted May 16, 2012 is my favorite for the sheer fact that you never have to worry about missing the train. There's always "' right behind it. And besides, altough it is crowded, everyone gets off at 116th and 137th. Least favorite has got to be the . The never runs, and it always runs RIGHT after a . God forbid I get stuck on one. Its red lights, and red lights. Not to mention, why the hell would I go to Brighton Beach, when I can just take the to CI? Not to mention, it runs EXPRESS on the Brighton line. Just no...
pjbr40 Posted May 17, 2012 #10 Posted May 17, 2012 My favorite was when it was on the West End Line. Grew up with that letter. I like the as well especially when it run express to Main Street. I used to like the in the 90 but not anymore.
Threxx Posted May 17, 2012 Author #11 Posted May 17, 2012 As OP, I must post one of course! I'd say the as my favorite. The ride out to the Rockaways is nice, easy & gentle, and the express section b/w 59th and 125th always give me a thrill. The is hands-down my least favorite. It comes RARELY, and I have had experiences when 4 trains would come at once, and none in the direction I was going in... that line needs a major overhaul...
overclocked Posted May 17, 2012 #12 Posted May 17, 2012 CPW/8th Ave. one of the worst trunk lines in the city. I am still trying to find the logic of the person who thought that joining 2 services in addition to already existing 2, would be an efficient way of rail operation. Today the line is even worse then it ever was, timers are misconfigured and installed unnecessarily. The only reason that can be is that they keep average velocity the same for whole length of the route, or that the structure is falling apart and they limit vibrations that way. Why in the world express trains have to enter 125 slower then local does, even though the curvature is the same? How come local covers 145-125 faster then express does? Stations degraded, lots of water issues there. Train bunching is out of control. Another crappy section is between Dekalb and Atlantic Avs both Brighton and 4th Ave lines, the average speed on brighton portion is only 10 MPH, how in the world designers/engineers have allowed for such idiotic choice? My main point is that if you are building a subway line, then do it properly. Same goes for new South Ferry, so far it is the capacity limiter for the line. What stopped them from extending the station northward to avoid that tight curve and to leave some tail tracks, so the trains could enter with some speed. Goes to show that people never learn.
Brighton Express Posted May 17, 2012 #13 Posted May 17, 2012 OH MY GOD. How could I forget my second most favorite behind the , the ( M )
KeystoneRegional Posted May 17, 2012 #14 Posted May 17, 2012 Least Favorite: The (2)/(5) - These lines are very boring unless on the NYW&B and West Farms Sq. - E. Tremont Ave. Station and Curve. Most Favorite: The (1)/(7)/(A)/(F)/(Q) - Scenic and filled with variety and uniqueness at various portions, no doubtly awesome!

I think CPW is fine, except for local service. The only runs every so often as it is, but the is always RIGHT BEHIND IT. That's why I usually take the M10 unless wheather makes it favorable for the train.
DanTheTransitMan Posted May 18, 2012 #16 Posted May 18, 2012 Least Favorite: and only during rush hours--the trains are overcrowded and I usually have to wait for a few trains to pass by. because it gets delayed a lot by Cannel street and DeKalb ave. whenever I am going into brooklyn. Favorite: and
